Guild Wars 2 ApplicationHow old are you? 25 In-Game Name? Guderian Khan Do you have Teamspeak 3 and a mic? Yes What is your prefered playstyle? PvP What kinds of activities are you interested in? WvW, sPvP, PvE, dungeons, and even exploration and crafting. I'd particularly like to partake in skirmishing and protecting the flanks of the warband. Also, when sieging fortified structures I like to keep defenders out (more on that later). Previous Gaming Experience: I played DAoC soon after launch, but I played it mostly solo and infrequently. I didn't accomplish much as I was only in 9th grade at the time. I did fall in love with RvR, though, and the battlegrounds. Thidranki was the first time I'd seen siege equipment in-game; knocking holes in walls, no less! That was really exciting for me. I played WAR at launch and played in the RvR lakes religiously. I led many pug warbands in T3 (I tried not to linger in T1 or T2). In the earlier days of WAR I led T4 pug warbands, before the majority were closed, alliance-only. In my warbands I emphasized and constantly asked for volunteers to guard the posterndoors: an empty keep is an easy keep. Of course, remaining vigilant and keeping defenders out of a keep is anything but easy. I also play Civilization 4 and 5 at the highest levels of difficulty of single-player. I enjoy a macro-management challenge. Why did you choose XoO: I've seen a number of XoO's members running around in zones and thinking, "I remember that guild!" I'd left WAR in the past, and when I came back I wanted to join an active guild that claimed keeps: Nothing is better than owning a fortified structure! I'd seen XoO in the lake claiming keeps in the past. I never did apply to XoO then, though, as I couldn't get an RL friend to go along with me because he didn't want the pressure or demands. I see your requirements are Teamspeak 3: I always liked to be in chat rather than typing as it's more effective and efficient. Why do you think you'll be a good fit? 11) Members are expected to try to improve in their class/role in their game I always strive to improve. I love to theorycraft and talk about weaponsets and roles. I try to have meaningful theorycraft (and other) discussions with friends (and potential guildmates). I'm very competitive, but I work well with teams. I like to think of builds and tactics that will improve group performance. I'd like to be a part of a guild that influences a server in WvW. I really enjoy discussing strategy and tactics. I think I'd be a good fit because I'm looking for a talented online community to be a part of (I'm a pretty good player, myself). What will you contribute to the guild? I'll bring a passion for WvW where mobility and surprise can carry the day. I even look forward to 5v5 tournaments where the positioning, build, and skill of each player matters immensely. I'd like a chance to participate in planning strategy and tactical decisions. Localization: NA Do you have a referral? No A little bit about yourself? I like to read! I read military strategy, history, and literature. Infrequently, I play chess. I'm in my senior year of my accounting program. I'm almost done with my Bachelor's (again). I also have B.S. in Psychology. Activity level? The first week of GW2 I played 60! I won't be able to maintain that level of activity, though, because classes just started back. Do you have a high speed internet connection and a good computer? Yes Have you applied to the GW2 usergroup? Yes
