Google is not doing anything different now than it was doing before, just in a more efficient manner. Google has long ago collected your IP, location, search history, contacts, calls, likes, dislikes, searches, web browsing, shopping habits, phone numbers, and credit card info. Probably a lot more too. Just go to your Google Dashboard and look at a small bit of the info they have on you, and that isnt even any of the serious stuff. Nothing is really changing with the new policy except their ability to better market things to you.
it is interesting. A few months ago, I started researching office chairs. I eventually went with a Hon Ignition. But I did a lot of research before i got it. I havent done any research in a few months. This morning, I've seen 8 advertisements referencing that chair including video- even the color I researched the most. They've definitely been collecting data! I wish there was a way to say google- I already bought it, dont make me regret it.
I put this Function on pause years ago when i noticed that its implementation was skewing the results of my searches. visiting the page yealds an empty history.
