    It's not, it's an MMO wannabe. Hi-Rez set out to make a Planetside clone but didn't have the talent, so it turned out into an arena game.

    This is one of those games I play now and then.. it makes me rage but for some reason it's still fun at times... I just hate when the mercs are so one-sided that all you can do is either be completly dominated or completly dominate.. if they have found a better way to form the teams since I last played I'd check it out again.

    its not that bad its just certain class builds can literally just dominate and robotics turns into a game of hide everything in the corner so no one can get near you lol.

    But hey i guess i have a premium account for free now woot.

    It's a fun game that I will probably play more now - especially since I have the free premium account now. I hope Hi-Rez has learned enough from this to make a competent TRIBES type game since they own the rights to that now. Some have even suspected they may try to take their learnings, along with what they get from the TRIBES folks, to make a PlanetSide type game for real this time.
