Just post about a game you would like to see made just for you! I want a game as free as gta with what you want to do, and the ability to drive mostly anything and everything.. however give it rpg elements like gaining weapons skills and the ability to use better armor and what not. This game will be based in a post zombie apocalyptic setting. You can go around to collect important supplies, go zombie hunting, what ever you want to gta style! Give the ability to actually own and upgrade something(like a safehouse and anti-undead vehicle perhaps) and you can have people hooked for a long time!
Third-person chase version of Mechwarrior, plus sidestepping, crouching/jumping, punching, kicking, and possibly swords and axes too. Would be great fun.
a good mech game would be cool. I want a RPG liike Fable but longer and more freedom from linear story lines, and more ability to effect the world.
I want a RPG aspect that allows you to have base stats in a wide variety of things like most other RPGs, except each stat effects a wide variety of aspects in the game. I want a heavily involved non-combat and crafting system which is strict enough to the realism to require basic knowledge of the real-life aspects of that specific skill, which is taught to you through skill books in-game. I want the requirements of every item to be rated on efficiency of use/training instead of an arbitrary level/stat req before you can hold it in your hands. This includes a degeneration of skill over time as you cross into other things and use them... example: You use a sword to kill 10 things, bushwack through a forest, pry a gem off a cave wall, blah blah blah, it should count towards training with it as a gradual system, if you stop using it while playing the game you should GRADUALLY lose training with it exactly like IRL, we lose muscle memory over time and especially when we learn new things, furthermore every accomplishment done by grinding should be gradual and not waypoint based, the concept of level should not be a factor honestly because how would you judge a person by level IRL? Judge them by age IMO. I think that things that require pointer aim, contain throwing arch or hand eye coordination should be done FP, so naturally the game should zoom to FP perspective and then you can deal with it there, in fact the entire game could be like that. There should be some definite macro setting for people who get into that, eve tried a bit like that but IMO failed to "really" capture macrosetting interaction. People who want to play the RTS aspect should be able to. Finally, full reign over spell effect creation and magical items should be a factor. You should not have to grind 2500 monsters for that magical orb, you should have to go to the highest level spell weaver and ask if he/she can help you. The game should be about the players and the community if online. The physics should be the best of all worlds. Full collision, a good amount of gore, realistic physics, full range of motion, fluidity in your unarmed and weapon wielding prowess and everything that can be manual should be manual, ESPECIALLY DODGING. If you have a high dex score then fine, that means you are capable of having a high reaction speed, but that mental reaction speed to begin with should come from the player, and by sheer skill should that player be able to dodge. Nothing disappointed me more about GW than how boring the manual aspects of the game were, everything was auto lock on, all the projectiles you might as well call homing, same with almost all spells and melee weapons. Diablo II did a good job with having a lot of the aspects melee and introducing the block rate aspect, but having a manual block rate is kind of silly too unless you can see your shield blocking each attach as it comes on the screen as a collision aspect. That would be cool. People should get hungry and tired, that way there would actually be a need for inns and food so all the aspects behind those things would flourish, you could have people running inns or tailoring bedding or alchemists making caffeine drugs out of roots and things, or people mastering cooking and survival foraging techniques, and if the realism like I said was implemented they might even learn some real life skills instead of, lets face it, wasting their childhood because they have too much spare time they don't manage properly. I mean, if people wanted to make an absolutely amazing game and that was the number 1 priority even in the face of the budget or the time needed to make it we'd have a good game. But people who make games for a living don't make games for games, they make games for money, same with everyone else who has a job. Honestly.
A game like EVE but have it be a FPS and have death not so serious. It would be more planet based as you can fly from space to any planet and take on a traditional FPS style (soldier or vehicle) to help the overall effort. Also guilds can build a commanding ship (mothership, wtf ever) that acts as a port and mobile fortress in space. A lot more but i'm going to sleep.
Actually now that I think about it, dune would make a good planetside clone, they should get on that.
