Tonight our FPS division defeated Murphy's Law 19-3 in the Rifles Only ladder (yeah were in a Rifles Only ladder too btw). We are also Rank 4 in our hardcore capture the flag ladder! Basically were doing awesome and still havent practiced... Yay!? In all seriousness though a big thanks goes out to those who are helping us rank up - Sokar Eskara Moethelawn TheCommunist TheEpic and KnowYourFoe. A special thanks goes out to Trice as well for help with our server. If you are interested in joining the Battlefield 3 division feel free to join the usergroup. We also have a brand new FPS application which will allow individuals the ability to apply to the FPS division as a whole rather than putting in 2 or more applications in if they are interested in more than one FPS game.
Woot! Hmmm, I guess I'm one of the few not getting BF3 yet (Waiting to see how it plays out before I commit any money...) and waiting on MW3 which comes out on the 8th Nov Should be a lot better than BO since its being made by Infinity Ward.
Grats guys, keep it up! Don't be discouraged, but take solace in the fact that you have some self-respect.
I'm not getting BF3 right away. I will be waiting a little before spending the money. The combination of limited budget and numerous games I'm interested in will keep me from buying anything for awhile. That said, I'm fairly sure I will get it though.
Both CoD games I have played recently have the most frustrating hit detection, followed by a kill replay that shows the guy missing the mark by a couple inches on the TV screen and still getting the kill. I am assuming lag has a huge roll and maybe this "hit detection problem" is just me finding a reason to QQ (I don't play FPS that much), but so far CoD isn't that enjoyable for me. I haven't tried BF3 yet but I have heard from a few people that they enjoy it more than CoD. I might try it out.
I'm gonna have to agree with this one. I was really impressed with the first Modern Warfare. Great story.... The second MW campaign was good until towards the end when it got plain ridiculus... The third one got a little more back to its roots in the campaign... the first two mission of MW3 were excellent. Sweeping and clearing the stock exchange floor of Russians? And then infiltrating and comandering their attack sub in the Harbor... classic MW. But I found myself just going through the motions for the rest of the game. I would say wait for this is drop in price, but that wont happen for years if it follows pace with MW2. For all of its faults (like having to reinstall punkbuster ever day,) I much prefer BF3. Most fun Ive had in a game in ages. -matt.
