It seems after a XP update every game I play now shows the FPS in the upper left and the local time in the upper right area of the screen. For some reason the time is either in the far right on some games or a few inches to the left in others. It has appeared in TF2, WAR, Sins of a Solar Empire, DoW2, Puzzle Quest, STALKER, Oblivion, and Civilization 4: Beyond the Sword.

It does not appear in X-Com though, I think because it goes through DOSBox

I have no idea what is doing this or why.

Im pretty sure it was an Xfire update because I have it as well. Im not sure how to get rid of this though.

Yes it is an Xfire problem. They'll probably fix it soon. The only way to get rid of the FPS/Time Counter in the upper left corner is to "deactivate" xfire while ingame under options.

Tools>Chat>4th box down "Enable Xfire In-Game"

Or switching to the xfire skin, the blue and white one, and that fixes it too

You can alternately go ingame, press 'Scroll Lock'+E and click on the options you want to disable (I believe its Time and FPS)
