Was browsing around for protein folding software I didn't have to pay thousands of dollars for and remembered about this initiative by stanford. I figured I would download and lend some support to these guys since I am not always using by pc and would be fun to see the PC do some arguably useful work rather than just play games. It was pretty easy to setup and between download and the start of folding was probably 10 minutes tops.

Name on the site is Ryld.

I also noticed that XoO has a team going with only kinetic medic and some guy aroton???? Team ID is 81446 so join it if you want.

I'm just starting to learn how the client works and what to do to maximize folding time. I'm not quite sure what sort of GPU OC the program would benefit from if any but it is running the CPU and GPU at 100% load each while folding.

I'm running my H100 at 100% fan speed while folding and the CPU + GPU sit around 60C. The fan curve for the gtx 670 is running at ~70% fan speed. Had it folding for about 24 hours straight.
