I haven't watched Bleach since that lil' 5-man [or however many of 'em, I can't recall really] group went to the dead people place to rescue that ditsy girl with barrier/shield abilities. Did they ever leave that place? LOL.

You know what. I read the manga every week!

And you know what, Bleach sucks major Balls!
Its one of those train rack mangas that for some reason I keep reading.

the hole Aizen saga, sucked major balls, every decision I didn't find any reason, why characters did what ever they did, to many times there where fights with out meaning, to many character introduced at once, to many long fight that where a pain to read, to many epic battles that should lasted for 5 chapters finished in 2.

I have Bleach, if I compare with the 3 big mangas there are on top right now 1 Naruto, 2 One Piece. Those can make me care about the characters I’m reading about even if it’s a small fight.

For that and many more things Bleach sucks! That’s my opinion and I dare any one to try to make me change my mind!

I'm personally not a big fan of Bleach (I think the art is good tho) or any of those "fight-kick-punch-superpowers-fight" comics, but in an attempt to cheer you all up...

Just so you don't get comic book deprivation, try some of these comics! ;)

The title character, Asterios Polyp, is a professor and architect of Greek descent who teaches at an unnamed university in Ithaca, New York. After a lightning strike burns down the building in which he lives, he leaves the city and takes up employment as an auto mechanic in Apogee, NY (the place and occupation chosen seemingly at random). The novel is interspersed with scenes from his past, including his childhood and troubled marriage, as well as more fantastical scenes (including those narrated by his stillborn twin brother, Ignazio). Finally, he must confront not only his own dual nature, but the implacable and amoral whims of the gods themselves.

In ancient India, the lives of many people are plagued by drought, famine, constant warfare and injustices in the caste system. The intertwining lives of many unhappy souls are drawn together by the birth of the young prince Siddhartha, who embarks on a spiritual journey, becomes Gautama Buddha, "the Enlightened One," and attempts to bring about a spiritual rebirth of the people in this desperate age.

Blankets chronicles the episodes between Craig Thompson's adolescence and young adulthood. Though written chronologically, Thompson uses flashbacks as a literary and artistic device in order to parallel young adult experience with past childhood experience. Major themes of the work include: first love, child and adult sexuality, spirituality, sibling relationships, and coming of age.

The residents of an isolated rural area discover superhuman and supernatural power in their midst. But the power stops at the county line. Inside the afflicted area, something ancient and malevolent stirs and new monsters arise... The series concentrates on young Wyatt, an unlikely hero from the wrong side of the tracks as well as Sheriff Morgan (and his odd past) and town outcast Amanda. They'll have to combine their efforts to keep the county from imploding...or being eaten by mighty Cthulhu.

Pluto follows the Europol robot detective Gesicht (German for face) in his attempts to solve the case of a string of robot and human deaths. The case becomes more puzzling when evidence suggests a robot is responsible for the murders, the first one in eight years. Based on Osamu Tezuka's "Tetsuwan Atom" (aka "Astroboy")

The series, which is largely without standard text dialogue, is about the adventures of a gentle owl named Owly who resolves to do good and make friends in his world with the help of his good companions, the clever worm, Wormy, and Scampy, the gluttonous but good hearted chipmunk. While he faces obstacles in the pursuit of that goal, his faith in the goodness in the world is never disappointed.

The plot concerns a criminal, Parker (or Walker in Point Blank, Gou Fei in Full Contact and Porter in Payback), who, having been betrayed, shot, and left for dead by his partner and wife, embarks on a relentless quest to retrieve his money and wreak revenge. Based on the novel of the same name.

    There's something for everybody!! :D

Can someone explain to me why I should start watching bleach if I haven't already started? I mean, I applaud the amount of length the series has and I'd be absolutely thrilled if Hunter X Hunter had that many (mainly because Hunter X Hunter was never finished), but does Bleach really need 100+ hours?

It was my first ever anime I had ever watched. Always laughing and being snide at people who watched anime.

Someone told me to watch Bleach and I fell in love with it. This was back when it had like 90 something episodes. But then I fell off and never watched it again.

Honestly, I don't know what drew me to the anime, other than the fact that I loved listening to the Japanese voice overs.

291 episodes (anime), 423 chapters(manga) to clear some confusion.

That's about when I stopped. Turned into too much of a DBZ at that point.

It is funny how many of us stopped at the same part as Moneda on the Anime side. I stopped at a bit earlier on the Manga side, probably would of kept going but got tired of chasing down the next on all the sights since I couldn't afford and my library sucks near me...

Naruto and Bleach I really think are about the same in status, both have good points and bad points and are way to long for me... I did make it further threw Bleach then Naruto, but that was only due to the fact of the series being further in. Now One Piece I haven't watched much but heard it had a bit more character depth then both the above, I may start reading it, since watching stuff that long is just not my cup o' tea.
