Fan Controller

    Anyone know of a good fan controller to run my video card fan? i dont want to run rivatuner anymore. I have a 3870HD.

    You can set different profiles for fan speeds and then make them short cuts, this was recently discovered for 4850 4870 series, im sure it will work with the 3800 as well. Don't have it on hand though, if you can't find it I'll look for it later.

    I prefer ATI Tool for my ATI cards. Controlling the stock GPU cooler offboard is kind of a pita.

    ati tool doesnt work with my 3870. And it and other software apps that will control ur vc fan such as rivatuner screw with xfire ingame. Thats the whole reason i want rid of it.

    Most stock fan power plugs are alot smaller than what you can usually get with a fan controller, which would require splicing cables or trying to find the correct power adapter.

    I just checked mine out. It seems to be just a standard 3 pin fan plugin. I just remembered i have a fan controller that came with my cpu heatsink. Gonna check and see if theyre compatible
