I beta tested FE and while I enjoyed it for a bit, I just couldn't recommend it as a game. So when I saw the free 10 days I re-activated and installed the game. Yes indeed there are some graphical improvements, but it is still much like an awesome game from 2001, if you get my drift. I guess there are some folks that really like the game and they have a small tight knit community, but I just can't give it a thumbs up.
I got an email for that as well. I don't think I will take advantage of it due to my playtime being filled with DDO and Borderlands. I feel bad because I didn't beta test this game as much as Global Agenda. I played a little bit of it. What I wanted was Fallout 3 MMO. I just didn't enjoy the stuff I was playing enough to keep going. What I did enjoy a lot of was Borderlands, though I have only played single player.
Fallen Earth is still the base core of what everyone played in Beta/Alpha. It has less crashes(still crashes) and much better graphics(still a huge problem with their shadowing at night). But the game is still in that beta feel. I could probably make a page list of what doesn't feel right etc but maybe that's just the best game of 2001 feel. Right now the game is only worth about 30 bucks initially at a 10$ a month upkeep. At least that's the only way I will play it over the free-trial rate. 2.5/5
