Hello, i'm applying as a raider 1. Talent spec(s); did you pick up something outside of normal theorycrafting or have a dual talent spec? I dual holy/disc and holy/shadow i've learned to play all 3 specs well. 2. Do you have offspec sets to complement dual spec assignments or even just a trinket change for certain encounters? What stats do you have different for these sets. I have a holy/disc set which i primarily use for healing (have T7.5 and some Ulduar gear), and i have a shadow pve set. I'm hit rating capped for shadow. 3. Professions: Do you have raid enhancing professions or gathering ones? What does your profession provide you for raid utility? (Max professions are an important boost to raiding) I'm a jcer/miner. Have most northrend patterns through the jc daily and got all the pvp patterns through wg. 4. How long have you played WoW? List your raiding accomplishments, time played, experience on other toons that may be more. I've been playing wow since it first started. I had an alliance holy pally on Lightinghoof. I became a raider when BC came out. Had alot of experience in SSC, TK, Hyjal, BT and Sunwell. I came to this server to pvp, but when wotlk came out spriests weren't that good in bgs and arenas, so i specced to disc/holy and have been playing it since. In my previous guild we downed Mimiron in 10 man and in 25 man we got up to Hodir. 5. How much do you PvP? Is it a priority of your time playing? How will it impact raiding? I pvp with my alt mage. It doesn't affect raiding. I raid first then pvp. 6. How old are you? Maturity and dedication are of utmost importance. 18 is required with limited exceptions. I'm 27. 7. Where do you live (state/country) and what is the living arrangement (wife, children, dorm, etc)? I live in Toronto and by myself. 8. Current occupation (outside of WoW)? What kind of hours do you put in? I'm a dj and producer. I work during the day and on the weekends so your raiding time is ideal for me. 9. What guild and/or server are you coming from and why? What do you expect Xen of Onslaught to provide better? (Make sure to include your old guild or we could confuse it with a guild you have joined). I'm coming from A True Bromance. I left them because i wasn't liking their loot system. I'm a very good raiding healer. 10. How did you hear about Xen? List any personal references within the guild and expect them to asked about your raiding ability or confirmation of for friend rank. I don't know too many people from Xen, just Limegreen, we used to be in Death or Glory together. I've heard very good things about this guild, and would like to join to progress into 10 and 25 man Ulduar. 11. <Xen of Onslaught> strives to maintain a top end raid progression. What and how many consumables do you plan to have in preparation for each raid? Specific amounts and types preferred. I bring mana pots and some flask of frost worm. 12. Our raid schedule can include Monday-Thursday from 7:00-11:00 PM CST (Sargeras Server time) with the occasional Sunday raid for progression (and sometimes skipping Tuesdays for farmed content or patch days). What would be your most likely scheduling conflict if any? This is a great raiding schedule for me. If anything comes up i'll make sure to notify someone. 13. Please list any thoughts or concerns you have on the Raid Policy as upon completing this application you will be assumed to understand and agree with them unless stated here. We are always open to considering new ways of doing things. I'm fine with dkp. I've never been in a dkp system before but it sounds fair. My alliance guild had a kharma system so it's pretty similiar. 14. Submit a wws or screenshot of a damage/healing meter (a 2nd shot of your personal breakdown of attacks is also helpful as it shows your rotation) for dps, tps, and hps. We keep wws reports for 1 month and will use them as a last resort to determine how to help people improve. If one is not available, explain why. I'm sorry, i didn't save any pics of me raiding. 15. Provide a picture of your UI, preferably in Raid combat(at least in a 10-man) and a list addons that you use, so we know you can see those big colored rings of death appearing below your feet. I use your standard mods, dmb, atlasloot, gatherer, questhelper 16. You are done unless you have any final comments to help out your application. Thanks for letting me apply. Extascykween.
yeah, i did a pug with them the other day. it didn't do much for my wallet, but i got some emblems out of it and they actually listened to suggestions on how to adjust the pulls and boss fights (though i hate healing when my prot gear's better than the person im healing) everything looks pretty solid, just need to check armory and such when im not on a work computer and see what we've got available since ive had to miss the last week or so of raids
yeah, its a solid app, but im wondering about the talent build: lack of inspiration etc and the 8int 3mp5 gems seem an odd choice, but ive not done much raiding on a priest recently
I used to have +16 spirit gems socketed in the blue slots. But since the spirit nerf i didn't think it would be a valued enough stat. Purple gems don't offer any value to healers so it was either go green or stay with spirit. With inspiration, i could probably take away points in improved healing and get it. Extascykween.
ok, i just wondered about that... i usually use jc gems for blue sockets, but i guess your choices are almost ready for the non-prismatic nerf (minus the 32 sp in legs). anyway, we've been short a priest for a little while now (having shadow going disc etc) so i don't see a spot being too much a issue. try to get with an officer for an invite
