That happens to me all the time...
Actually come to think of it, a lot of weird things like that happen to me all the time right before I go to sleep....

Yeah, a couple times. It was pretty trippy, reminded me of an out of body experience.

It's probably a lack of circulation, I'd consult a general practitioner.

I've had that once, but it was due to temporary quadriplegic paralysis 8 years ago. And no, it wasn't awesome it was the scariest time of my life.

I read up on it a bit, it's called Sleep Paralysis, a lot of people experience the same thing as myself, however some are much worse. Some people see thigns coming after them, feel pressure on their chests and even smell odd things. Mine is very minor and it doesn't bother me at all really.

Don't laugh but the first time it happened, I thought i fucking died in my sleep lol. It's pretty cool actually, next time it happens im going to try to experience it more, rather than try to wake from it.

    If people are interested.

I had it happen to me once right after I watched a documentary on Sleep Paralysis. Go figure.

A lot of my friends are of the Hmong culture and honestly believe that when they can't move but they can still think and such while lying down it's because a ghost is sitting on their chest or holding them down. I personally can't say i've ever had sleep paralysis happen to me.

Never happened to me. But my friend once had such a bad migraine that he forgot how to talk and read! The funny part was he was at work so he couldn't figure out how to explain what was going on.

That's happened to me in the past when I was younger, maybe 7-12 years old. Except I'd only be able to control my arms so then I'd grab the bedpost and shake it until the rest of my body complies. It doesn't happen anymore though, and I'm lucky enough to get uninterrupted dreamless nights. I hate dreams because they take too long, unless I'm dreaming about girls.

I was trying to sleep one night about a year ago, i dozed off with the tv on. I woke up and it was off. I tried to get up but I couldn't move. This went on for about 15 minutes and I had no idea what was going on, I had to piss and I began freaking out. My arm was numb, I was sweating and couldn't move a muscle. I couldn't even talk. I eventually just dozed back off to awake a few hours later with the worst bladder pain ever... I never got it checked out or anything, hasn't happened since.
