Well, like the title says, it was working like 2 days ago, I put a dvd in to burn and now it acts like its reading it, and when I load up WMP it starts to spin, but it is never recognized. Anywhere...

    Any suggestions?

Oh, and no dvds work at all, or cds

Sounds like your drive is dead/dieing. You'll need to install another drive to be sure.

I had this problem once. But it ended up being my drive was on PATA while my HD was SATA. I think there was a surge and all my stuff on PATA was dead but everything else worked because it was SATA. I ended up buying a new drive and that worked because I bought an SATA. So I fixed the problem without even knowing the PATA slots were all fried.

Fortunately, replacing it isn't too expensive. A good dvd drive will cost about $20.

Have you installed any new software in the past few days or maybe put in a new audio cd to listen to? Sadly some DRM has been known to mess with cdrom drivers.
