I'm interested in most of the content in GW2, ranging from SPvP and WvW to group questing and dungeons. I enjoyed completing the Ascalonian catacombs with Zeral, Junp and Ben K from XoO over the 2nd beta weekend event. Exploring in GW2 is also very rewarding as I found various jump puzzles and trap caves with champion bosses. Previous Gaming Experience: I have played a large amount of RPGs including a majority of the final fantasy series, kingdom hearts, god of war, uncharted, legend of zelda, elder scrolls, ect. As for MMORPGs, I have played World of Warcraft for about 4 years completing raid content as well as pvp. Why did you choose XoO: As stated earlier, I played the majority of the 2nd GW2 BWE with XoO, and we did a lot of WvW and group questing/catacombs. Why do you think you'll be a good fit? Because I have already gotten to know a few people in the guild and am interested in similar content as many in the guild are. What will you contribute to the guild? I am very much a team player so I'm willing to contribute as much as I am capable of. During the weekend event, I've help a few guild members aquire skillpoints that I was familiar with. Also because of the downleveling system in GW2, I was able to help guildies in lower lvl areas complete events while getting exp myself. Localization: NA Do you have a referral? Not exactly but hopefully Zeral can vouch for me as I played with him the most over the BWE. A little bit about yourself? I was born in New York City and am currently a university undergrad. I am hispanic and an engineering major. Activity level? about 30ish hours, or as many as possible considering my excitement for GW2 Do you have a high speed internet connection and a good computer? Being an engineer myself I feel it is necessary to point out that we engineers do make up the smartest and most attractive subset of the XoO population, and any opportunity to make the group smarter and better looking needs to be taken seriously. For which engineering major are you studying?
I'm leaning towards biomed but honestly at the moment it feels more like a title than it does anything else as I'm currently in the process of taking prerequisite physics and calculus courses. What branch of engineering do you focus on?
Industrial and Manufacturing. The calculus can be a bit tough. I'm a pretty good student in general, but I had a difficult time with Differential Equations. It seems that in calculus the difficulty of a class really depends more on how much of a pain in the ass the instructor is than the difficulty of the content. If you are doing biomed, then you are going to have to take the dreaded O-chem at some point. I think this is universally hated, but at U of M (Michigan) it seems like people hate it more than the norm. Don't be too disenchanted about the heavy theoretical work you have to do now. You will find that it actually does come in handy on occasion. You'll never do any serious calculus without a computer after you graduate, but knowing the subject helps you know how to do it on your computer.
I really enjoyed playing Guildwars-2 with Dsantos in BWE#2...and would to see him be part of the Xoo Universe.
