Rather than putting it in the music thread, thought I would put this and the other 2 posts as stand alones, as new music albums get lost amongst all of the randomness. This latest offering from Disturbed is very solid, with the title song being well put togethor. Not masses of music that fit solidly in the "metal" corridor, most of them try to hide in the side rooms instead, this is very good and would say it does carry on their theme of singing about issues they believe in. Though you will probably only hear 2-3 songs from the album on TV or radio the way the album has been put togethor I would say 7-8 of the songs could stand up on their own. The cover they picked as the "bonus" track at the end is a U2 cover, its always nice to hear what they pick and how they "disturb" it up.
I love this album. Simply put, it is more technical than their last albums while still keeping the disturbed charm. Also, I'm a cheap university student who downloaded... the bonus tracks I got were Down With The Sickness and Stricken (both live). What U2 song did they cover?
damn you. had to put the album to try and work it out. Its at the end of the track called "Leave it Alone" - Still havent found what I am looking for. The album is really good, I am splitting my time listening to it and skunk anansies new one. this is just solidly put togethor.
I think I will go pick this up. I really like the sound of this song. I've been splitting listening lately between the new offerings from Avenged Sevenfold, David Gray and The Arkells. I friend told me this was a pretty decent CD but I was hesitant to go buy it. This has changed my mind.
aaargh, i see too many accronyms at work. its a solid album, and I have been mixing listening with wonderlustre. its safe and solid album based off of their standard premise.
The cover is better than the original. By far. Love how this sounds like their older stuff more. The Animal and The infection are great songs. Nothing to be sad about here. Disturbed is back I hope they are in concert around here soon and I can go see them. I saw them when they were on tour just before the release of Ten Thousand Fists and they were phenomenal in concert.
