New Monarchy won the faction rally this past week! That means we get a pretty nice sword we can buy from the New Monarchy vendor. If you were fighting for N.M. then you can buy the sword for only 1000 glimmer so it is definitely worth picking up whether you plan to use it or not. For the rest of you who pledged to the other factions that did not win, you can buy the sword for 50,000 glimmer. It is a pretty decent sword so you should really consider picking it up even for the high cost. Glimmer is easy enough to come by. This past raid day we were teaching 3 new people how to do all the boss encounters. It took a bit longer than planned to get through each of the first enounters so we only got a handful of runs in on Calus at the end. Some of us went on to finish the raid on different days outside of the main raid day so congrats to those who finished it! I see some people with nice loot around now. Of course we beat the nightfall, these days it is pretty easy now that everyone is well above the recommended power level for the strike. This next week we will begin trying to get groups together to complete prestige mode nightfall. If anyone is on and loking to group but doesnt see other clan players on, there is an area on the Bungie.net site where you can look for a fireteam that works fairly well. You can check that out here. Most of the groups use Discord for chat so be sure and have that installed. A few still use Teamspeak though. This can also be a great place to get our clan name out there so if you are playing with others that you see dont have a clan yet, be sure and send them a link to the XoO website and tell them to check out the FPS section. Today Bungie did a livestream (the first of three) about the new expansion coming out called the Curse of Osiris! Ill add a youtube version of the stream in the Osiris thread. Be sure and check that out for some info and hype. The first expansion launches in 3 weeks! So lets all try and stick with things and keep grouping up and doing the end game content and try to hit that 305 power level so we are ready to go when the expansion drops.
I felt like the nightfall was tougher this week and I guess it scales to light level. Last week we were finishing with plenty of time left. Maybe its just the last boss fight thats a pita, and the ogres. Poop on the ogres
Good work on the raid this week. As a clan, we were able to finish the nightfall, raid, and crucible rewards for everyone. Looking forward to next week already and maybe we can start trying out some of the challenge modes if people are comfortable. Bungie has a livestream this week on Tuesday about "New Ways to Play".
