I see newegg has a 10% coupon for all desktop RAM. I also see they have my set of Mushkin Redline in stock for 104.95 or something like that.

Do we think DDR3 prices are on the rise again? THis is the cheapest price ive ever seen on this RAM, and i also noticed the days of 35$ 8gb sticks seem to be gone, at least from mushkin.

The specs on the ram I want/have...
    8gbx2 1866mhz 10 10 10 27

per enigma i beleive prices are going to be on the incline in 2013 as ddr3 becomes phased out. are we seeing that a bit early or should i wait?

RAM prices are pretty stable right now and I doubt they will go significantly lower. If you want more RAM then now is probably the time to get it.

DDR3 market has been flooded for quite some time and the companies know this, so production slowed down a bit this last year. I would expect the prices to be about the same but during this next year 8GB sticks with 2133 will become the norm. The beginning of last year it was 1600, as the year came to a close it was moving more and more towards 1866 speeds being the sweet spot. DDR4 will begin to be phased in halfway through this year, with DDR4 becoming mainstream either towards the start of 2014 or the very end of 2013.

RAM prices have come down because just like processors, the process nodes that the memory chips are made on are also shrinking. The new stuff is 30nm.

    Timing 9-10-9-27

These are the lowest I've seen in a while. I spent $90 on 16gb 4x4 mush kin black lines in June, my x58 build I spent close to 120$ for 6gb 2x3.

RAM is soooo cheap right now.

I never had problems with Corsair, usually overpriced - but G.Skill has been good to me and my newest Mushkin set is doing great.
