    From the Steam store page:

"PC & STEAM version will benefit from PC capabilities with increased texture resolution and an enhanced frame rate option. On top of that, FromSoftware have been working to perfectly adapt the game for a mouse & keyboard combo."

I have recently started a sorcerer playthrough in Dark Souls I, and, while I've been disappointed with the class in the beginning, it's grown very dear to me once her sorceries started scaling up exponentially and I acquired the ridiculous Moonlight Sword from Seath the Scaleless.

Fucking can't wait. And yet I have to, since there's no way I'm getting the PS3 version. D:

I really wish they'd done a PS4 release, but oh well. I got the PC steam version preordered at less than $30, so I can't complain too much. :D

I just hope the rumours of region locks aren't going to affect me, since I think the site I ordered from is Russian. >_>

Less than 30 bucks? Holy cow! I paid the full EU price (not regretting it though).

Interesting; Completed Demon Soul a number of times on NG+ but never sat down to play Dark Souls on my PC (owned it for months). I imagine while I like the idea that it is going to become similar to the Assassin Creed series where I played the first and didn't have time for the others.

You really should give Dark Souls a try if you liked Demon's Souls. Each has their strengths and weaknesses, but they're both great games.
One thing though, there are a LOT of cheaters on the PC version of Dark Souls these days, because there's absolutely no anti-cheat implemented.
Just thought I'd give ya a heads up. :>

If you don't dabble in competitive Dark Souls PvP, I don't think you'll ever encounter one. At least I haven't.

Just got dark souls for $20 on steam. Let's see how far I get before number 2 comes out. I think I might use controller though instead of keyboard and mouse.

I'd definitely recommend playing it with a 360 controller. The keyboard & mouse control scheme (which you cannot customize I believe) seems atrocious.

It is definitely atrocious. I don't have an XBOX but PS3 controller works just fine. It's pretty fun so far.

yeah i bought DS2 on PS3 cuz on PC it's absolutely RIDICULOUS how easy it is to cheat this game (just takes a very very very basic cheatengine table). It's absolutely 500% impossible to PVP on PC as 99.9999999999% of the people are cheating, invulnerable, 100120012012012 hps, etc...

I had DS on both PS3 and PC (yeah i'm like that) and never ever i'll buy a game like that on PC.

Well, u could also cheat on PS3 but it was just soul duping so it wasn't harmful.

Using KB + Mouse on DS would probably mean shooting urself in the foot. Really not optimum.

In any case, if u guys play it on PS3 u can add me : Haibane-X

I'm getting the PC version as well because it was only around $30, and because of the GRAPHACZ! :p
I played DS on PC with my PS3 (and later PS4) controller with no problem, so I hope to be doing that again.

As for cheating, I'm a little worried there'll be a bunch of cheaters again, but with dedicated servers, one could hope they'll put some effort into tracking down and getting rid of cheaters permanently.

Hmm, unless they come witnessing the guy they can't do much about spotting cheaters, everything's modified directly in memory... a monkey could cheat in this game lol.

Careful tho, in DS2, u can get invaded as a HOLLOW !!!! Be careful out there guise.
Yesterday there was already above 6 millions deaths... (u can see it in the monument in Majula)

Finally, if u wonder the same thing that i did, u can't lvl up in bonfires anymore, u gotta see some chick in Majula, didn't find her tho (couldn't play long).

For graphics, they suck anyway so... I didn't care so much about it :p

So far, i like it more than DS1 but i didn't even face a boss yet !!

The game's so open this time u can face something atrocious a couple minutes from the very beginning, just cuz u went somewhere u're not supposed to yet. Freedom, man, FWEEDOM

I wish I could play DS2 already, but the PC version is more than a month away still. So all that's left for me to do is to grind my teeth trying to beat Manus with my glass cannon sorceress.

Well, i think they did a very poor design choice with the HP penalty (it was in Demon's but not in Dark Soul) combined with the fact that killing a boss doesn't turn u to human anymore.

It's like, they try to make the game harder with artefacts instead of doing it with clever mobs and stuff.

But, as usual, DS is hard at the beginning. That's where u struggle. Once u level up enough it's a walk in the park. But with 50% hps penalty when u die enough u're REALLY gonna struggle if u're not good at this game.
