Please do not break legal agreements by posting closed beta information of any kind in the forums.

Odd. See email, post in thread invite received, read nda after signing up later, can't disclose selection as participant? Was an nda agreed when submitting your name for selection?

Yes, you sign the NDA when you submit your beta request

We've been breaking NDA in this forum for a couple of months now.

I'm not really interested in ESO, but I'll say this: no one really gives a damn about the NDA or EULA or TOS. Most of them have no judicial value outside of the US and are rarely enforced within the US. The only thing they really care about is if you make money (AKA youtube ads) from their trademark and if you leak information to a wide audience. I doubt anyone would even bother looking into it, if a secluded forum with barely around 300 active people shares information among themselves.

Xen gets developer invites at times because we keep to the NDAs and do not allow them to be broke on the forums.

Ok, when was the last time that happened?

And if XoO does get blanket invites into NDAed betas and stuff, then doesn't that automatically allow everyone in XoO to discuss it?

There's no way random game devs could know that. Plus, it isn't even true. There's plenty of NDA breaking stuff in Xen forums, I'm sure.

Actually we have not. it was only the past couple of weeks people started posting all sorts of info and impressions from the beta.

Last time it happened was the very end of 2011 when Bioware invited one of our members to a small press conference and Q&A session and gave our guild 20 beta keys
Your logic is pretty good on getting us all invited so we should be able to talk, but sadly that isnt the case. Especially when we didnt get a whole guild invite for this game.

Actually, we have. There are quite a few people who've been mentioning they've been invited to the beta, and what their initial impressions of the game have been, and that's more than just a few weeks ago.

That said, most standard NDA's disallow talking about the beta at all, and even about being in the beta, but more than a few developers have openly said they don't enforce that particular part of it this far into the beta process.
I'm not saying we should go about interpreting the rules as we see fit, but I do think it's worth noting that nobody has disclosed any specific details about the game (that I know of), yet. At least nothing that hasn't already been officially revealed.

I do wish the beta forums would be left up after the beta period ends. Having the place we are supposed to talk about beta content available would probably deter a lot of NDA breaking.

I've deleted and merged the "beta" threads, and remember we have a sticky for it. Just wanted everyone to know, nothing personal, just doing best we can to stick to NDA and clean forums.

    :O)

I won't disclose anything, but I will say, I don't believe it is even close to ready for release.

Disagree - minor things need adding/changed but the game can be enjoyably played as is. As is, it is better than the last four major mmo's I have played. Leaps and bounds better.

I'm on this game like white on rice when it launches.

I personally don't get why this game is getting so much hate. It seems like it's a a band-wagon thing.

After just two days of trying it out, I'm already more excited than I previously was, and my scepticism is nearly gone.
I just wish I knew how end-game and especially PvP will turn out, but for my sake, I don't see any reason not to try this out full-time.

Second that - one of their beta weekends needs to be end game - they give you 3 maxed out level toons and say have fun for the weekend exploring our dungeons and pvp - the last three beta's in other games I played expected people to level all the way to max level, during beta, and only a couple people accomplished it, thus their end game never got tested and in most cases never even really developed. Those same three games ended up suffering badly from crappy end game and why I ultimately left them. Hope that doesn't happen here.

I don't think they are going to let us have a personal look or testing of endgame. Rarely does an MMO give you a max level character to test anymore, oddly enough. ZOS in particular seems content to keep it hidden, testing internally. Maybe to prevent story spoilers, which is typical with a TES game, but it isn't sitting well with a lot of MMO gamers. I hope they do something to show people there is endgame PvE to enjoy, a whole lot of people are still under the impression the game is pure PvP and questing.

I don't necessarily need to play-test end-game myself. But if they pull another Age of Conan, where end-game is nearly non-existent, I'll be pissed, and they're going to lose a ton of players fast.
Even Guild Wars 2 and FFXIV were both a huge let-down for me, in the end-game aspect. PvP in GW2 was kind of fun, but got repetitive quick, because of the rather small maps and the constant resetting.
And just grinding dungeons, like in GW2, gets crazy boring too.

I hope they'll bring some exciting raiding and PvP content in ESO, to keep me interested in the long run.

They need to do full length beta, that would give more opportunities to check the game...

There is an on-going, not weekend-only beta already happening. There's a very small amount of people in it; so much so testers can barely find people in Cyrodiil to fight. The weekend betas and stress tests are where the majority of Cyrodiil testing is currently done.

FYI I am not in said on-going beta.
