Hey guys, After a year and a half as the Community Relations Officer, I am stepping down, as school and work have caused me to not be able to devote the time I would like to put into the role. With this, I am also stepping down as a Xenate member (as the two go hand in hand for me). Naturally, this means that applications are now being accepted for this role. Before I go into detail about what this role entails, here is how you apply. You apply under leadership application and pick "Community Relations Officer". You will need to have at least 10 members willing to put their name behind you for this role. You can have former COs, XOs or Xenate members in there as well, and they will eachcount for three of the ten members needed. Once you have filled out the application, and have your 10 members supporting you, the Xenate will filter through the applicants to make sure everyone is eligible. After that, there will be a poll up in the members forums, where the members will vote for their candidate, and after one week the leader of the poll will become the new Community Relations Officer. To be eligible to apply, you need to have the following: -No infractions linked to your account -Be a member of XoO for at least one year -No previous CO/XO experience -Must be nominated by another member...NO SELF-NOMINATIONS! This is the role of the CRO: Community Relations Officer (CRO) Main responsibilities: Xenate participation Community Meetings Xenate Meetings Xenate Participation: The CRO is the community’s voice in the Xenate. As CRO, it is necessary to be very active in the Xenate forums, as well as in the community. Community Meetings: The CRO is required to structure and plan meetings for the community. These meetings should be bi-monthly, unless there is a pressing issue which needs to be addressed. The main purpose of these meetings are to give the community a good idea where each division stands progression and membership wise, as well as updates on upcoming games that XoO is taking an interest in, changes to XoO as a whole (member or forum based, such as the casino addition). The CRO is also required to host these meetings. Xenate Meetings: The CRO is required to host Xenate meetings. These meetings are used to discuss member issues, the threads which are posted in the forums, as well any issues which may arise. These meetings should take place every 2 or 3 weeks, or in emergencies (such as the Doc incident). The application will be up by noon EST tomorrow.
