So I just started watching this on Netflix (there's a LOT of Anime on Netflix, and a lot of ... almost Hentai stuff too - kinda weird) and I'm enjoying the atmosphere or it so far. Has anyone watched this series?
Claymore is one of my top rated series. The voice actresses cast is godly, and the scenario progression is extremely well thought-out. I mean how the author builds on what he created, and extends the possiblities of the basic set of powers/capabilities. It all flows naturally, it just makes sense. Also how he managed to have his main character fall from a desperate situation into an even more horrible one. I love this guy, and I know there is nothing superfluous, he always thinks things in advance, there is no deus ex machina just popping in there because he had a deadline and he was stuck in his story. Details revealed early can have an importance much later on. And I like how I can trust my feelings when I read his works because he is consistent in his story. When something happens that troubles me, that I think is not right, is not coherent with what we've seen thus far, I'm usually right. It was only a feint and the truth of the matter when revealed a few chapters later is coherent with what I thought would be. The TV series is an adaptation of the beginning part of the manga. (there is not enough manga material left to make a second TV series yet) There are only two mangas that I (can't wait to) read each month in this world. Claymore is one of them. (GUNNM is the other).
I have watched a few episodes but they have just added so much more anime and i tend to add them all an watch like the first two episodes till one catches my eye. Darker than Black is another good one imo.
