So I have been trying to figure out how to get this to work since I got my comp but can't seem to find the setting I need to change or driver or what ever. I am trying to get my video card to display out of the mini HDMI port it works fine out of the DVI with an HDMI adapter but I can't get it to work through the mini HDMI with a Mini to full HDMI cable. Any ideas?

Not using an adapter just a cable with one end mini one end normal. Output not working no way I can test it really. I have to disconnect the DVI to connect the HDMI to my TV. I was hoping it's a driver problem or something that I have to enable in windows maybe.
Oh it's a Zotac GTX 560. Google doesn't really seem to be coming up with my exact problem either so maybe it is just a dead output on the card.

Yeah I've never had a problem like this. Honestly, my immediate first reaction was dead output. I've had that happen. Cat decided it would be fun to pee on it.... yay.

But, to ask a basic question... sorry if it sounds too elementary. Does windows even recognize a second monitor at all when the cable is plugged in? If so, did you try expanding or duplicating the desktop? I know its basic, but just have to eliminate the easy stuff before you move on to the more difficult when playing detective.

I don't have a second monitor just a TV and it doesn't get anything out of the Mini HDMI.

did you try turning the computer off, plugging in the TV via the mini-HDMI and then turning the computer on? Windows often times doesnt like suddenly sending out to a new monitor, you have to refresh the connections in your graphics control panel or do a restart. Easiest way is to just boot up with that one connection and let windows detect it at boot and see what happens.

Ya tried that. Well if it's not a known issue then maybe it is just a busted output. I can't be arsed to return the card either so guess I'm just stuck using the other output.
