Do you want to build it now for the DFM or a year from now for the PU?

If you want to build it now, to be still awesome when the game actually launches in 2015 then you will need a 6GB GTX 780Ti or an R9 290X. Unfortunately the 290X is hard to find and very overpriced, and it would be better to wait for the 3xx series launching in 4-5 months anyway. So your best option for a GPU would be the 780Ti. Unfortunately the 6GB version is not quite out, a few more weeks I think. You best bet it to wait till the middle of next month to throw some options around if you really dont want to wait till the end of the year.

FYI the GPU will and should be nearly half your budget when you have a budget over $1k, which both those options I listed are.

Personally I like Nvidia more right now. I love AMD and think they are an awesome company, but they are in the middle of trying to move the PC industry through a paradigm shift right now and it would be best to wait till the technologies stabilize before buying a big expensive card from them. The driver stuff for Mantle is still immature (Though SC will support it so it may be awesome to have in the future), the XDMA communication between CPUs and CPU needs to be a bit more mature, and the HSA features of the system itself need to become more mature. Normally you pay a premium for Nvidia just to get a few more nice options in the control panel and maybe a bit better performance, but with the huge markups on top AMD cards it now makes Nvidia either the same price or cheaper so it is the better way to go IMO.

Ok, so Microcenter, Newegg, Fry's, or TigerDirect will be the best places to look for parts.

Amazon is great to if you have prime. Free shipping and half the time the parts are actually cheaper.

The FX 9590 is a way overpriced CPU and the cheaper priced Intel 4670K would be a FAR better choice.
