Hello folks, right off the bat I want to say I'll be a complete noob in AION as I only just downloaded the game yesterday and am waiting with beta key in hand for the 6th so I can begin play. I understand it may be too late, and you might already be full to your (soft cap) but wanted to at least say hello, and post an app anyways. If nothing else maybe later. To tell you a little about myself, I am a mature gamer by most standards, 43 years young, lol. I am a divorced father of 2 teenage gamers myself. And a son of a now retired Network Supervisor, who still games himself. I first started playing these games back in the 80s with Pac-Man, lol. And my first MMO was EQ2 back in 2005 when it first came out, and played it pretty much the entire time until this week as a matter of fact. Over the years I've put in extensive time in Eve Online also where I was a pirate (PVP) and have played CoH/CoV for quite a while, and tried WoW but didn't play it for long because, well I thought it sucked, lol. Ok now to answer your stock questions for us recruits. 1. Age (18+ Requirement): 43 2. Name (Forum & IGN): Blakkmantis IGN will most likely be Bolvork 3. Class: Flexable on that. What class do you need most? I've played healer classes and tanks mostly in games I've played. But looking at the classes in AION they all look interesting. 4. Do you have vent and a mic?: Yeppers, even just bought a new mic last week in fact. 5. Previous gaming experience: almost 6 years of EQ2, and 2+ years of Eve Online plus a couple other games. 6. Why did you chose XoO / Why do you think you'll be a good fit:? You guys seem to really have your act together, and I'm looking for a structured intellegent mature guild to be a part of. 7. What will you contribute to the guild / How will you improve our guild and be a valued member? I am extremely active. I work 3 on 3 off, 4 on 4 off midnight shifts. My days off, Im on most the day, and into the late nights. If my boss knew how much I play, they would be pissed I only work 40 hours a week, lol. 8. Do you have a referal?: No, sorry I wish I did. 9. A little bit about yourself: I think I did that up above. If you need to know more, ask away. 10. Activity Level? (hrs/week): Most likely 60-70 hours a week, yeah I got no life, lol. 11. Apply to usergroup: huh?
well you seem like a nice guy to which we greatly appreciate, even moreso than being familiar with the game. We can teach you to be good through coordination and teamwork, but we cannot teach you to be active or friendly. Those are qualities that are hard to come by in the gaming world sometimes.
