Hello there! I was hoping for you to put more effort into your application. Your original application has been lost to the depths of the abyss, and I have no personal memory of you. If you could give specific details of what you did in each of those games, what you enjoyed most, ect, and the like, I would really appreciate it.
Not a problem. Details of games i have played previously: UO - Spent most of my time doing what we called back then "PKing". Spent a fair amount of time on 2 different servers with 2 different guilds. One was a forum based guild, the other was a group of personal friends. We basically just went out and had a blast finding new and creative ways of killing players. (sounds bad i know, but that was UO) Played from 2000 to approx 2002 GW - Started GW in 2005 a few months after release. I joined XoO maybe around 2007 time frame? it has been a while so im foggy on exact time and i'm not surprised that no one would know who i am today (not offended either ). Played in the "boot camp" guild of the XoO alliance. had a fun time learning about GvG. Played mostly R/x flag runner or midline Me/x. It was nice to actually have an organized group that would take time to teach people proper tactics without raging or not taking it serious enough or taking it too seriously for that matter. After awhile i was ready to "graduate" or whatever it was officially called but had to decline due to work schedule change. i stayed in the boot camp and helped with filling spots for GvG scrims and practice. WoW and FFXI - PvE mostly in those games. FFXI didnt have any form of PvP when i played it and WoW PvP was just not what i was looking for (meaning i rather have the X factor of a battle be a moment of brilliance from my enemy being the reason he/she kills me as opposed to his/her gear score). Played FFXI from release to about a year later. Started WoW right before BC and has been off and on since. Lineage 2 - Mostly PKing again, although the penalties were a lot more harsh than UO. Wanted to play it more to get into the siege aspect of the game but unfortunately it did not keep my interest long enough. Clans (aka Guilds) had a very high level of organization in the game as well as being very politic driven. Very interesting game, just a bit too "grindy" for my liking. Played it during beta and then again about a year after. Warhammer Online - Lead a medium sized guild of friends (RL and online) and enjoyed the massive RvR style battles. Played from release to about 9-10 months after. Population was a huge issue with the server i was on and therefore made the RvR play boring (meaning it wasnt fun to go capture keeps without anyone guarding them every night) Most servers seemed to struggle with this issue as well (among other things). Would have played it a lot longer and felt bad it turned out the way it did. Overall i am looking forward to GW2 and what they are promoting. But what excites me most about the game is finding out all the things the devs dont plan on. Not bugs or exploits of course, im refering to those goofy ideas/combinations that shouldnt work, but they do. Whether it be a class build, a team comp, or just a specific tactic used in a specific part of the world. Thinking outside of the box gains a lot more prestige than just doing what everyone else does. From what i have seen/researched, this game could offer a ton of opportunities. I'm looking for a solid guild to call home, XoO had done a great job of that in the past. If you have any other questions, i'm more than happy to answer them.
Fantastic. I have no time to interview tonight, but if you shoot me a PM I can get back to you. I'm free all weekend after I finish class tomorrow (about 12PM cst).
