Anyone have any good desk chairs that last a while? I dont have a TV so all of my free time is spent on my computer from watching TV and movies to playing games or reading manga. So I spend ALOT of time sitting in my chair and the padding in the bottom wears out extremely quicking and I end up just sitting on wood. Right now I have a pillow down in my chair to give it a little more padding but it likes to move around. But I was watching LoL tournies and saw a DX Racer chair that they were using and wanted to know if they are worth the $400 tag on it. http://www.amazon.com/Racer-D01-Vinyl-Gaming-Chair/dp/B005KIZQDS

If anyone has a different suggestion please tell me. I am already cringing at $400 chair but if its worth it then I can find a way to swing it, anything more and it will be a big turnoff but I wont just ignore it.

buy yourself a really nice executive office chair for about 500 to 900..itll last forever and will look a lot classier.
But if you are under 30 and dont worry about such things..the racing chair is neato bro

So you are saying go on and drop the cash for the Aeron Chair by Herman Miller? We have one at work....maybe I will just go there this coming weekend and slip it out.

I've had this chair for a few years now and have been mostly satisfied with it. The back tends to slip down over time which is a bit of an annoyance but other than that the padding on it has held up and it remains comfortable with enough adjustability for my liking. I got mine on sale for ~180 CAD. I wouldn't mind giving the Herman Miller Aeron chair a go and trying to pick one up lightly used, seems like a winner. I wouldn't have any qualms with spending 500-800 on good chair.

Lol $400 for a chair. Pretty sure it'll increase your K/D ratio. :p

I've got a $20 computer chair that I've been using for 10 years. Sure, looks used... but functions as new.

Not so humorous when you have serious back issues and things like sitting or laying down the wrong way can cause discomfort or exacerbate the condition.

    ETA-

Looks like it isn't too hard to find the aeron for $4-500 online.

If that's the case, then my apologies.

i spent 300 on my excutive style chair..but i use a 6 foot long sheep skin for a cover..a really good one....saves a lot of butt wear..and is surprisingly cool in summer as it breaths well...and its toasty in the winter. I highly recommend one.
