I liked the teamwork you displayed and the communication. It was organized but not overbearing. That combination made it very enjoyable. Previous Gaming Experience: Old gamer. Going back to MicroProse games on the PC. I used to be a huge flight/military sim fan but have always loved shooters. Played a lot of Joint Operations, PS1, COD and Battlefield and stopped when I fell into the WoW abyss. I've always loved the combined arms nature of PlanetSide. What do you feel you can contribute to the Outfit? I'm mature, organized, disciplined and have a solid understanding of tactics and strategy. I like to play as part of a cohesive group and have extensive play experience with tactical gaming. As a working professional and father of 2, I don't have as much time for gaming as I used to so I like to get the most out of my game time. I like playing with a group that can achieve objectives but still has the ability to have fun in the process. Serious, but not too serious. I can lead or follow but I'm comfortable in both roles. i think PS2 is a game that almost mandates you play as a large group and I personally find that this much more enjoyable when you're playing as squads in combined arms assaults. Localization: North America A little bit about yourself? I'm 46, a father of 2 and live with my family in Syracuse, NY. In addition to gaming I enjoy golf, hiking, camping & skiing. I've been a gamer since I was 12 and have played almost every variant of PC gaming imaginable. Activity level? It really varies because of my professional commitments. If I have a heavy travel week it's going to be tough for me to get 15 hours. If it's a lighter travel week I'm using on 20 hours or more. Welcome to XoO Bear! Thanks for promoting our thread on the official forums and for you application. It's nice to see that randoms who join our public squads are having a good time. I loved MicroProse. I played several of the flight-sims back in the day, but loved the "Civilization" series and "Pirates! Gold" the most. Since you're in the beta, we'll want you to get into Teamspeak 3 with us and then hop into game. We'll get you an Outfit invite and set you to recruit status. After a few play sessions we'll complete the interview process and you'll become a full member. Thanks Dullard. I never played Pirates but I did dabble a bit in the Civ series. I was more of a Command & Conquer kinda guy. It's funny, when you look back on the Microprose games they weren't anywhere near as deep as today's games and the graphics where laughable but man o man did I love going into the very first "game" stores and looking at those new PC titles. I forgot to mention the Jane's series, they made some great sims. There's nothing better than peeling the shrink wrap off a new game! I'll get the TS set up, hopefully I'll see you in game. I'm going to have to swallow hard to play Vanu but I'll do anything for some good teamplay! Cya
