    1. Character Name, Class, and Main Spec:
Balmafula, Warlock, currently deep Destro but I can go anything.

    2. Armory Link: (explain talent choices here in needed):
    http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Sargeras&n=Balmafula

    3. List raid helpful professions:
    Enchanting (460), Inscription (450)

    4. Time playing WoW and PvE progression:
Much more than I'd like to say :p

    5. PvP influences and impact on raiding:
I go Affliction for PvP, but I don't think it help me to raid better

    6. Age (18 is required with limited exceptions):
26, I lied my age when I signed on the forums :D

    7. Occupation and living arrangements that impact raiding(family, classes, dorm, night shifts etc):
I'm a boring male adult, currently working as a System Analyst. I seldom have to do night shifts (like one night every couple of months)

    8. Guild you are leaving and why: (If you join another guild without following up here, application will be closed):
I'm guildless as of now, I didn't like my past guild.

    9. How did you hear about us? List any friends/references within the guild:
Someone invited Pessimist to the guild as a friend, she's a RL friend.

    10. List consumables you bring to raid:
Flasks, Potions, and food just in case no one has a fish feast to spare.

    11. Additional Scheduling conflicts (consider possible weekend groups for 10mans):
I never raid on Saturdays. I prefer not to raid on Fridays either, but I don't mind going on Fridays.

    12. Provide measure of your damage/healing such as Recount (Screenshot to include player breakdown of attack %'s), WoW Web Stats (WWS), or World of Logs listing:

    13. Provide a UI screenshot from raid combat:
    Sorry, don't have one.

    14. Final comments you feel could help your application:
"I like pigs. Dogs look up to us, cats look down on us. Pigs treat us as equals.". I don't think that it helps, but it's a damn nice quote.

Great app, talked to this one in game.
One question about your gear, Are you sure you need that meta gem?
Every high end warlock I've seen previously uses +21 crit +3% increase crit dmg.
If you believe you need the -2% reduced threat, please explain

To stay on top of current class changes I just look at the stuff they say on elitist jerks if warlocks go through a major change.

Otherwise I just do some minor tweaks by switching around my spec, glyphs and gems to something that seems to provide me good results.

I prefer the reduced threat gem because I have the bad habit of pulling too much threat, and that gem might increase my survivability, especially when pugging (which is something I do a lot)

The changes for Cataclysm you mean? If so, I think it's too early for me to think anything about those changes. TBH, I didn't even look into stuff for the next expansion...

Also, I forgot to mention on the gem thing that I usually favor SP over crit.

meh, I usually don't look into class changes prior to patch day.

Unless it's a major class change, I'll just tweak my spec/glyphs/gems according to the patch notes.

According to WoL parses, Affliction actually out dpses (on Festergut) both Demonology/Destro. What do you think contributes to this?

I firmly believe that Affliction is actually the best warlock build for PvE, especially for raid bosses that require a lot of moving around.

For Patchwerk-style fights, Affliction can pull decent DPS, but for fights that require a lot of moving it adds extra flexibility to the warlock, since the bulk of the damage until execute time comes from DoT placement. I'm not sure if Festergut requires a lot of moving around, since I never got there though.

However, Affliction requires some skill to play, while Destro rotation doesn't require the player to have brains. I'd go back to my Affliction build, if it wouldn' make it harder to pug (People usually think Affliction is a bad PvE build, go figure)

Well, typically, people will think that.
Any "ramp" dps is frowned upon by most people, which is also the same reason Ret paladin's dont do near the dps we should upon fights we can't get 5 stacks of Corruption.
    Same concept.
Also, about the -2% threat gem, good answer :)

You won't need the threat gem with XoO.

This is Festergut, a tank and spank fight, with little movement. This is a about a week old, but no major lock changes have occured since then.

It could be that most people are Affliction now, but I would like to know that you be prepared to switch specs to find out which is better.

Just to touch on a couple things, can you give me a detailed explanation on the "potions" you bring to raids and if you were to change your spec would the potion of choice change or remain consistent?

And also the fact on what parts of the fight would you use your potions (i.e prior to BL) would you use this time differently if you were using different potions? Explain.
