Swimming is the shit unless you actually need to get somewhere then the bike wins

Swimming takes the most energy to do, if you're doing it constantly (laps). You use your entire body's muscles. I hate running....it's alright if i'm doing short sprints like for basketball, but just constant jogging/running is boring as anything. Biking is fun and so is swimming.

Swimming is the best for overall workout. uses the whole body. And is actually easier on joints for most people.
But for getting from point a to point b is pretty will worthless....unless you on the ocean or lake or something.

I say do whatever you enjoy the most, i love running, most people think it's boring but I crank up the volume on my ipod and go for at least an hour a day, I love it. Do what you like that way you'll want to do it because you like it, not because it's a better work out.

Swimming is definitely the better workout. Low resistance and impact, and it uses your full body more evenly. I plan on getting back into it this fall at school. :)

I love swimming and biking but hate running, Ill do it in sports but just running is boring to be, unless I'm on a machine and can watch tv or something, but then I'd prefer a bike machine. That might just because I have really bad ankles and I will sprain them a lot. I have a pool so Im always swimming and I bike to work.

The general consensus is that running is not favored, but the new question is:

    Why?

Biking is my favorite because I can go the fastest. Swimming is too wet and running is boring.
