Apologize for my ignorance, although that's not the correct turn. Its more. well - noobish I guess. I'm not ignorant, just don't know anything about this. That is an awesome picture (is the first thing a link? It does not load for me). What is a gally illustration? Looks like an awesome picture, but other than being awesome - what is unique about it? I like it, not knocking it - just want to know a bit more about it.
The first link is simply the same picture, but sided horizontally instead of vertically, which gives it more impact imo. However, when uploading it to imageshack, that stupid site automatically turned it vertically, with no way to avoid that, so I tried another image host. It should work fine now. Gally is the name of the character of the picture. She's the main protagonist of the GUNNM manga. You may have heard of them under the name of 'Alita', and 'Battle Angel Alita' respectively. GUNNM is dark SF/cyberpunk at its finest. The first 5 volumes of the first manga series are simply incredible imo. It then lowers a bit but still stays extremely good. The second series (still ongoing) named Gunnm : Last Order is excellent too. (There are only two mangas that I follow, Gunnm is one of them) The drawing is inpired from the Motorball arc of the manga, which is unbelievably awesome. There is a short CG clip, made years ago, that could give you an idea of the motorball feeling found in the manga.
