http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grendizer <<UFO Robot Grendizer (UFOロボ·グレンダイザー, UFO Robo Gurendaizā?, sometimes romanized as UFO Robo Grendizer) is a super robot TV anime and manga created by manga artist Go Nagai. It was broadcast on Japanese television from October 5, 1975, to February 27, 1977, and lasted 74 episodes.[1][2] The robot's first appearance in the United States was as a part of the Shogun Warriors line of super robot toys imported in the late 1970s by Mattel, then in Jim Terry's Force Five series, both under the title Grandizer. It is still widely popular in the Middle East and was especially popular in continental Europe and in the province of Quebec under the title, "Goldorak.">> <<La Série compte 74 épisodes de 26 minutes. It was, and still is, fucking awesome for us little boys who could discover it then or during the numerous re-runs. The boys would watch 'Goldorak', while girls would watch Candy (Candy Candy) which was the first shojo anime to reach us there. The dubbing for Goldorak was outstanding, using professional dubbers just as would any movie coming from the US. This, coupled with the cinematographic way of designing the episodes, left an unforgettable mark on all viewers. Enough to motivate fans to pull all the work behind the short movie you just saw. All the sound effects in it are genuinely from the TV serie. The feeling we get here when first seeing Fleed(Actarus) in the pilot seat, with the familiar humming of the command panels around him is .... undescriptably awesome. It's a kind of ... we're back home after dozens of years and about to seriously kick ass on those who had it coming for way too long already.
