NOO! FUCK YOU BOONDOCK SAINTS 2! Why fuck with a good thing! Well I'll see it of course but I believe I will probably taking a shit on the dvd when I'm done cause thats what I'll think of it.

Same thing happened with Green Street Hooligans they make a second with only a few of the original cast and fubared it all up.

Because the fans wanted it. There is a pretty lengthy interview with Troy Duffy about it. It's really old so take it for what it's worth.

From what I remember he didn't want to do a BDS2 unless it was done well. I think it will be a good movie but not better than the 1st. Part of what made the 1st so awesome was most poeple didn't know much about it going into it other then word of mouth of someone else. I guess we'll see how it turns out, but I for one am excited.

Yep, it's my roommates favorite and we quote it all the time. Awesome movie. It'll be hard, but I hope the second can come close to matching the first.

I can wait. No Willem Dafoe, No Watchy Watchy. It's going to be terrible. First one was amazing. Second will suck hard.

It would've been better if the chick was willem dafoe AS A CHICK.

I was in IL for Thanksgiving and manged to find a theater showing Boondock Saints II.

It was fantastic. My sister and brother in law have not seen the 1st and they enjoyed it. My GF saw the 1st and thought it was "ok". She loved the 2nd. She doesn't know why she liked it so much more but she did.

I am a fan of the 1st and the 2nd. It has everything you would expect from this movie, action, comedy, cop drama, etc. If you liked the 1st you will like this one too. It has lots of throw backs to the original as well as flashbacks to help those who didn't see the 1st. I give it 9/10.

What makes me angry is the fact it had limited releases. There are no good action movies out currently and I think this one could really bring in some money if it was marketed and shown everywhere.

Yeah, I saw it a few weeks back and it was awesome. Thankfully I live kinda near the boston area so it wasn't too terrible for me to get to a theater with it.

I guess the limited releases were increased because it is showing near the Des Moines area. I'm going again tonight with a friend who has not seen it.

I saw it again last night and I give it the same 9/10 rating as before. This is a very good movie.

Wasn't the first movie a limited viewing too? I remember watching it bootlegged in highschool WAAAY back in the day when it first came out because no theatre in oklahoma would play it. .

Huh, I could've sworn I replied to this a second time...

I saw it last Friday. It was awesome, althought I predicted almost everything in the end right from the start. Erin go Bragh. That is all.

My understanding the 1st one was limited due to it's release coming so close to the high school shootings. I guess it was black listed or something due to the violence. Maybe someone could confirm/deny.

    Edit:
According to Troy Duffy on his audio commentary of the film on DVD, the film's distributor allowed the limited screening only in the United States due to the then recent Columbine High School shooting.[17]
