I am the fiancée of Idiom who app’ed a couple days ago. I apologize in advance for the fact most of this information will be the same. We have been playing the same games together for 5+ years. 1. Age (18+ Requirement): 24 2. In-Game Name: Cherished 3. Do you have vent and a mic?: Yes and Yes. 4. Previous gaming experience: To make this somewhat different, I will start at the beginning. Idiom got me into gamming with Diablo 2. I moved on to War3 and I played BF2142 some but not to the extent Idiom did. I played Guild Wars since it was released up until a few years ago. I really loved the PvP aspect of this game. Holding halls for hours on end was the highlight of my gaming career. I really loved the equality about it. It also made you feel like you were doing something right when you won or made you fix something if you lost. I got to about rank 7 when they released heroes and it all seemed to degrade. The teamwork of so many parties seemed to vanish. I was in [Prez] with Idiom. At some point Idiom got into WoW. I stuck around in GW for awhile while he leveled his first char to 80 and started running Kara. I really didn’t like the cartoony aspect of it and resisted for a long time. Finally though I succumbed and have played since TBC. I did TBC up until Brut and am currently on H LK 25 man. http://www.wowarmory.com/character-s...asz&cn=Cherished is my main – a disc priest. I also played Aion with Idiom a bit. He tried a little harder at it then I did. I gave up around level 28. Grinding the same mob in the Abyss for a million levels is just not fun. As with both Aion and WoW, I never really liked the PvP. Idiom was right that I am not really into it, but only because of the inequality. I would LOVE to PvP like I did back in GW - maybe I was just spoiled with GW. There just is no “team†effort in the PvP aspect of the game and no push to get better and improve. Just seems like a bunch of 8 year old running around hitting stuff. I know it isn’t the same in Arenas, but there are still a huge gaps in gear and just doing arenas seems so limited and boring. There was at least a goal in GW PvP that I liked. Even FPSs at least have a goal... not just who dies first. 5. Why did you choose XoO?: Honestly, I usually leave the guild choices and research up to Idiom. He always does a good job and I am happy if he is happy. I do agree with him that starting out in Tera with very organized guild with a big knowledge-base will be very helpful. XoO is definitely not a guild who is going to disappear after a few weeks and I like that. 6. Why do you think you'll be a good fit?: I am a reliable person that will be there when you ask. I am good at taking orders – not for sandwiches though, sorry. I appreciate all input and take any suggestions that improve my game play seriously. 7. What will you contribute to the guild: I also love sharing my knowledge and helping people improve their own game play (if they so ask). I will be there to help the guild in any way possible. Idiom and I both have great attendance in previous guilds (though, I must admit, he is a little better than me). 8. How will you improve our guild and be a valued member?: I am a nice person who will help other guildies with anything as well as spread joy and laughter (corny me). I am also willing to fulfill most any role that the guild may need to improve. 9. Do you have a referal?: You mean referral right? Nope, sorry. I guess Idiom since he is in! But I don’t think that counts. 10. A little bit about yourself: I have a commission job so I am really flexible in my schedule. I am, of course, planning a wedding this summer so things will be hectic until then. I am a pretty easy person to get to know so just ask anything you’d like to know! 11. Activity Level? (hrs/week) (minimum of 30 hours a week requirement) Right now I am raiding 3 nights a week and usually play at least 2 or 3 more just for fun. I am just plain bored at the moment and just looking for new games to distract me. When a new game comes out, my activity will definitely be higher than 30 hours a week. As stated before, if something important is planned, I can easily move my schedule around to help out too. 12. Apply to usergroup: Tera Applicant (I clicked the right box!) 13. The not part on the app stuff: I thought this was appropriate too, Typical Archetype: Usually a ranged or healer class. I prefer it over the right up close melee action. I do however have a tank in WoW which I love to play for fun. I hope I can get into Beta so I can play around with some characters at first. At the start of most games, I tend to play a couple different characters before I really concentrate on one. Thanks for your consideration XoO!
welcome. Nice application. We are currently playing BFBC2, you will need to be able to pick up the game and play it once in a while as well as hop on TS3 and hang around the TERA or BFBC2 channel. If you can do that then there is no problem letting you in.
Thanks! I already jumped on Idiom's account and played around. It is definitely gonna take some time to get used to it! Seems very different to the FPSs I'm used to. I'd love to play around with you guys though and get to know people. I already placed my order on amazon for my own copy. I'll start browsing the forums too. I'm not a big talker but I will definitely be reading the forums a lot (I'm bored at work all the time). Thanks again for the consideration!
ACCEPTED. Probation ends after 30 days. Post around and get to know everyone. Make sure you check out the New Recruits Guide for TERA and do what it says. The game will be a while till release so stay active on the forums. Whenever they release the next testing phase you are welcome to join us in TS3 and in game. TS3 info is stickied in the Members Area. We encourage you to look at games we are currently playing and give them a shot until release to get to know us and for us to get to know you.
