Quite honestly... if I was a forum mod... I would edit his original post and add a period somewhere... just to see what would happen :p

I don't think it matters if it's a pet peev, deleting someone's post as the only consideration to the solution would personally feel to me as apathetic to their intent in keeping me as a happy and productive member within XoO, and can be borderline trolling if you ask me.
If you delete someone's post that actually holds value beyond spam and swearing then council the person post deletion or this will keep happening.

Umm... could you please rephrase this? I read it like 3 times and each time it just reads as a run on sentence. What I got from what you said was that deleting posts (that are not spam) is akin to trolling. Is that correct?

I'm not trying to be rude or anything... I'm just trying to understand the post.

Well even though I don't have to justify(See justify outside of modding for the sake of the purpose of doing my job as XO, if I was doing it willy nilly yeah, slap me with a fish) my particular modding lemme explain it for those who aren't famliar with our Warhammer section. We are part of the Warhammer Closed Beta and thus the whole of the guild has had quite a bit of spotlight. Further it is Mythic's policy to ban not only a single violator of their NDA, but the whole bloody Guild. Thusly, with our combined high profile and the strictness of the NDA, I have the responcibility to squashing any and all potenicial NDA violations for the good of the guild, even if Mythic may not consider them a violation. I think you would agree, it is far better to err on the side of caution than to invoke the ire of a horde of people who suddenly lost their new shiny beta access.

That's about it... lemme know if you want a further clarification. Oh... and I edited a few violating posts in.... interesting ways.... Ponys... kittens.... yeah... I got a wee bit carried away.... but it was all in good fun.

Everyone who is in the WAR beta knows that part of being in the beta and posting anything on the forums is that their posts can be edited at any time for any reason that the XoO WAR organizers believe might get XoO into even the minutest bit of trouble. That shouldn't have to be explained on a post-by-post basis--it's a given.

Once the NDA drops it'll be a whole new ball of wax. :D

Yeah, once that happens my only excuse would be spite... and I think spite doesn't fly very well in these parts :D

so when did KM become a CO?

    ;)

at any rate I don't know wtf Lev is talking about either. Fact of the matter is we are under an NDA. lots of individuals have been booted as well as whole guilds.

I don't think that it matters that you do or do not have a pet peev regarding the deletion of your posts... deleting someone's post as the only consideration towards finding a solution for that problem would personally feel to me as an apathetic intent towards keeping the involved members of the problem as happy and productive member within XoO, and can be borderline trolling if you ask me.

Deleting it with no explanation leads to confusion and implies that it could be a personal matter and not simply looking out for the health of the guild.

I guess McCoy wasn't here in the days of oldlev
