I've never used it before but I want to look into it for some TV shows....

is it a client like limewire back in the day? or is it something different?

    any recommendations?

    UTorrent. Then disable the ads.

Then proceed to find a tracker site that you like. Piratebay, Kickass, etc. There are many on top of private tracker sites which you can sign up for but must maintain seed ratios but don't worry about that at the moment while you get started. Just find the download link (sometimes they hide them because they are jerks) and ALWAYS AVOID DIRECT DOWNLOAD ADS. They are all scam garbage.

    Safety Tips:

New Music/Movies = Most watched in terms of being outside monitored.
Cap your UP/DOWN = A. So it doesn't effect the rest of your internet experience B. So you don't get throttled by your ISP
Read Comments = Almost every tracker site has a comment section and you can often find if a torrent is shit/or infected from the reviews. If you are ever suspicious of a program, open it up in a protected sandbox.

    Enjoy.

I just stream TV shows these days (well shows i bother with anymore they don't really make TV for my tastes these days), lots of streaming sites out there now and the quality is not too bad now either.

Thank you all for the input. I'm thinking about trying this out over the weekend.

I'm specifically looking into HBO shows (I really like The Newsroom and my fiancee is crazy about True Blood....not to mention Boardwalk Empire will be coming back soon) so if you know of a safe place to stream these content (or anyone willing to be chum enough to hand me over their HBO GO info....had to try:bashful:)......i'm all ears also
