Youll have to be more specific. Do you want to simply convert from one format to another? Change the resolution (either compress down or upscale), how advanced do you want your options? Are you looking for best quality or smallest file size? Are you ripping a video from a disk or other place and need to convert it to a usable file? Im assuming your on Windows? Have you decided on what container and codec you are wanting to use? Do you know what codecs and containers your intended player will play?
I enjoy handbrake for general purpose conversion work. If you ask it nicely, it'll even circumvent copy protections! All free, of course.
I thought Handbrake was for Mac? I use Bigasoft iPad video converter for batch conversions of movies to my ipad, iphone, tablet. It does more then just ipad resolution and bitrate, has lots of presets, and can batch job my video folder over night before heading out of town. For Fraps I use h264encoder to get it down to workable sizes.
Multiplatform support. I included a link that will take you to the downloads page. Some of the drm pwning features are mac... mayb that's what you were reading about?
Well here is the issue i am having I use two different programs for capturing and editing my game videos. I use fraps to capture the videos from my games and I use Pinnicle Studio 15 HD to edit my videos. Now when i capture the video it always turns out great but when I try to edit my video and open the file in Studio 15 the video is all pixelated. Im sure im doing something wrong I just cant figure it out. when in studio 15 original fraps file
Its been my experience working with Fraps and Premiere that Premiere will show a much lower resolution preview while working on the video. What happens when you render out of Pinnacle using some HD parameters? (ive never used pinnacle but in premiere you define a template to render to that sets resolution, bit rate, frame rate, audio etc etc)
