The wiki page A very, very beautiful anime. No mechs, monsters of cybernetic high-tech stuff. Just a story about three people, love, innocence and the pain that comes with just "being". The title refers to the speed of cherryblossom petals when they fall to the ground. It can also be seen als an allegorie to human life, because people usually start something together but eventually lose contact over time. It is basically three short episodes, the first dealing with the two main characters wheb they are still young, the second when they are on high-school (or the japanese version of that) and introduces the third character. The third an final chapter is when the two first characters are grown up and the guy is reminiscing about his love and that some things are just not meant to be and should stay forever in the past as a sweet memory. Besides the story, which is for some of us all too familiar, is has also very beautiful drawn scenes and backgrounds. If you like Grave of the fireflies, this one is for you, too.
