very good just like the first movie The Davinci Code. Supposedly if you read the book you may not like it, but I hate reading and never read outside of school.
I had already read the book, which was really good, and saw the movie on Sat. It was still entertaining, but the movie cuts A LOT from the original book - which I suppose is necessary because it was so long. But they kept the key parts of the plot in place and didn't hurt the overall story, even cutting one (ridiculous IMO) part of the book out completely. 3.5/5
Once again I get the feeling that this series really doesn't give much credit to the audiences who watch it. I mean, the mystery really isn't all that mysterious when it's put together in a fashion as predictable as an episode of Scooby-Doo. The puzzels are -easy- to figure out, but it takes them a while to get through them because they only have an hour per puzzel, and for some reason the puzzel is always resolved in the last 5 minutes of the hour. Sigh... That got old really quickly. Furthermore, it would have been more interesting to see a more controlled, fictionaly progression of the fall of Cathalisism based off the first film, rather than watching what appears to be a controlled appology to Cathalisism based off the first film.
i read the book and was fascinated by it, took me like a day to read it; if what everyone is saying about it, im very displeased. Though, i will watch it like i watched eragon, the book was great and the movie was ok, but not like the book. entertainment ftw\ i swear it is better to not read and just watch the movie, because it seems the books are always better.
I'm wondering when people are going to stop thinking the movies are going to be as great as the books. I don't think I've ever heard of anyone saying a movie was as good as the book. They will never be as a good as a book because everyone has a different view of the book.
I never expect as much from a movie as I do a book. The book contains the author's original vision as well described as possible. Through that description we build our own vision of how that story appears. Any adaptation has to pale in comparison regardless of the quality of the script, screenplay, actors, or special effects. As long as they TRY to do a good job of it, and don't totally butcher the original vision (coughDunecough), I will enjoy the movie for what it is - a visual summary of a greater work.
I thought it was well thought out and an excellent movie. Sure it wasn't as damning as the first but, it wasn't supposed to be. The movie itself was interesting, and if you were able to find the location of the bomb before they did then you have some serious knowledge of Rome and all of the churches otherwise I doubt anyone who said they figured it out actually did...they lied! The ending I saw coming but, all the same, I forsee every ending so its no big deal. Transformers and Eagle Eye I knew the end as well but, they were still great movies. If you take the movie for what it was a thriller, like National Treasure (but with a religious theme) then you will enjoy the hell out of it. And like many have said, thats what you get for reading!
