If you have an AMD graphics card be sure to update your graphics drivers today. AMD just released their newest GPU driver that greatly improves on a number of areas including frame pacing for older directX 9 games. These are some of the best drivers ever released by AMD and shows just how promising the new Radeon Technologies Group is for the future of AMD GPUs: Win 10: http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/desktop?os=Windows 10 - 64 Win 8.1: http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/desktop?os=Windows+8.1+-+64 Win 7: http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/desktop?os=Windows+7+-+64 Crimson Edition driver for legacy cards (HD5000, HD6000, and HD 7600 and lower GPUs): http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/desktop/legacy?product=legacy3&os=Windows+7+-+64 And for those of you wondering "well what does it do exactly?", here are the highlights: Also, these are supposed to be the very last drivers released for non-GCN graphics cards. RTG has moved the HD 5000, HD 6000, and HD7600 (and lower) series cards to "legacy" as of today. Going forward the HD 7700 and higher cards are all that will be supported, which is good news since that means the focus can be shifted entirely to the GCN architecture which should mean performance improvements in coming driver releases. The HD 6000 series cards were released back in 2010, so if you are still rocking one of them or an even older card then next year is about time to upgrade anyway if you want to keep gaming.
Thanks for the heads-up. I'll keep my 6970s though, as I have no reason to spend money on a newer card. A single one is enough to play PlanetSide 2 on triple screen (PS2 doesn't benefit from crossfire) and StarCitizen still doesn't support Oculus Rift.
