http://www.tomshardware.com/news/amd-cpu-apu-athlon-phenom-Llano-Bulldozer,14173.html I bought a 4100 because it had free shipping for entire order so I'm probably not a good judge of these things ::x: but that kinda of seems like shooting them selves in the foot.
Yep it had been known AMD plans to drop all Phenom II processors after the BD launch, but some speculated that with the BD failure that AMD might keep putting out PII's for a while longer. A quote from myself from back in July: AMD plans to have Bulldozer v2 (Piledriver) out early next year that addresses some issues and gets performance up 5-10% more, and all future plans of AMD are based on Bulldozer. SO it makes sense to stop shipping Phenom II processors in order to retool those facilities to the new process nodes. Hopefully Global Foundries will get its 32nm process node fixed and then we would actually see large improvements in both clock speed and power consumption, which would make BD a good chip.
