Just read about this news, A quick look at Intel’s price sheet reveals that AMD decided to price its X3 processors at the very low-end of Intel’s Core 2 Duo range. ( AMD Athlon X2 BE-2400 2.3Ghz Dual Core for $25 ):

I still wouldn't touch an AMD chip with a 10 foot pole, even if it was free.

  3. AMD machines are fine for budget systems =p. Can't really beat the value of their 780g board and the new 4650 or whatever card they just released.

I'd buy a cheap Core 2 and overclock it before I buy a crappy AMD.

  5. Those AMD prices are really good, but still I think Intel is more promising in the long run.

  6. AMD's still having issues dealing with the debt from the ATI acquisition. Their latest video cards (4 series) was pretty good, but their CPU and chipset divisions still have a long way to go before catching up to Intel's C2D and C2Q. Once Intel starts going full-steam for video, AMD is really going to get squeezed.

  7. guys check your computers for viruses, cause when i left that blog site my work's internet filter filtered out a trojan that tried to download

  8. That's really good price though, I don't need them, they are good if you want to get a budget build.

Yes indeed if you are building a server that can be very good choice.
