I have to ask, How old are you? Is this post directed at your reference as a joke?, or do you know the guild personally in game. If not then I actually find this application a waste of time and more of an insult to XoO if you think that would pass as a good application. A joke is one thing, but this is pushing the limit. Although its not my division, and not my decision. Edit : Maby update your application a to be little more serious, you don't seem like a bad guy but we need a more than just a comedian.
I love how the 3-name requirement of Guild Wars characters spurts all these wacky character names. Purple Ninja Yarinn... lol WTF? A roleplay element gone horribly wrong.
Don't respect the pants too fast, he's quite right. If people are going to be allowed in before the application is submitted, then there's no point submitting one unless you want to follow protocol. Protocol includes not taking the piss on your application, even if everything you say from that point forward is taking the piss. Whether an invite to GW XoO pre-application is outside guild policy is... well, it's not something I can be bothered discussing myself. I'll never do that but I can understand why the rest of GW leadership would. In the end you have to submit an application to get onto the XoO forums anyway, and anyone who stays off the forums has a short life expectancy.
Admitedly, I and the other officers have been pretty relaxed about the application forms process with the INFO merger, but we still do insist that those new members follow the protocol and correctly complete the application form for forums access. Being awesome is one thing, but being responsible and being a member of the XoO community and spirit is another. Being a member of XoO should not be taken lightely... with great power comes great responsibility... (hangon... I think I'm off on a tangent!) Forum access allows members to communicate upcoming events, and chat about whatever they like, given that we all can't be online at the same time to use guild chat. So that any ol rif-raf doesn't abuse the forum site which has so kindly been paid for by it's members, a formal registration process is required. So please don't make a scene about it. Fill in the application properly, and enjoy the benefits. Besides, no matter how awesome you think you are, undoubetdly, the most most awesome pants ever are those of the legendary MC Hammer... and you can't touch that!
