1. Age (18+ Requirement): 32 2. Name (Forum & IGN): Will be based around "Frosty", has been my gaming name since about march 2007. 3. Location + Timezone: Banbury in the UK (Near Oxford), So based around GMT+0 4. Class: Will happily roll whichver classes are needed, and happy to play 2-3 different ones to a high standard to give flexibility. 5. Do you have vent and a mic? (Vent will be mandatory, even if you do not have a mic, you must be able to connect and listen in): Vent, Mic, happy to talk and listen. 6. Previous gaming experience: (Apologies for the lenght of the answer) Guild Wars, PvE & PvP based, spent about 5 months in XoO back in mid 2007, mainly under the names Jumbo Jubblies, Monkee Two & Universal Frosty. I spent most of my time in guild participating in GvG, including spending most of the time match calling (when we couldnt get someone with more experience to do it) due to Don.Z not being able to speak. Within the game I played a variety of classes, tanking, midline as mage/ranger & mesmer, and backline both as prot and holy. Spent the past 2 years playing in World of Warcraft, helping the guild I left 2 months ago to become the 2nd best on our server (alonsus) and up to top 1k in the world. High end of the game I spent probably 80% of my time as a straight up healer, with the last 8 months spent as a pure disc priest (top geared on the server when I gave up). Also spent 6 months as one of the best geared (not boosted) Arms warriors on our server. In TBC i spent most of the time in BT/MH as one of the guilds main & best holy priests, but mixed up with my fire/frost specced mage. Through both of the 2 main MMO's I have played I have always had a flexible character play and base, not making me brilliant at 1 specific class, but making me a valuable member of the team due to the way I can pick up and play across classes to a very good standard. Also one of the more knowledgeable people in the guild for gaming knowledge for quests and skill bases. 7. Why did you chose XoO: I was a member about 2 years ago (I think before you changed webservers) under the name Monkee2, I was an officer within Xen of Europe within GW, and my characters are still in there. I was also going to carry on playing with Xen in Pirates of the Burning Sea, but due to not getting in to the beta, and then there was all the "Piratical Behaviour" it kind of soured the game and I moved off to WoW instead. If I have to play a game I want to be with the best people I can, but also a mature guild as that enhances the overall gameplay over a group of under 15's all trying to out e-peen each other. My guild in WoW was over 18s only (with some 17 year olds who were mature) and from being in XoO before would prefer to carry on on that basis. 8. Do you have a referal?: No, as currently not in a game/area with XoO players. 9. What will you contribute to the guild? Flexible player who is knowledgeable and chatty, always willing to help people complete quests, never shying away from answering tough questions. And will try to come up with novel (or wierd) solutions to problems (usually based around pvp or pve situations). 10. A little bit about yourself: I have been playing computer games for over 20 years, starting off on the atari 2600 (with very simple games), progressing up to the amstrad cpc464 with the fun tape system, on to NES, SNES, master systems, gameboys etc, up to the xbox/wii currently, playing everything and anything to help the time go by, and to quench my addiction to computer games (im an addict, but currently in remission...). After I gave up WoW I promised to get myself healthier, in 2 years of playing wow I spent on average 50-60 hours a week getting in a body shape Cartmann would be proud of (about 2 stones of flab put on). So the last 3 months have been spent chilling down and getting energy back for gaming, going to the gym and training & playing rugby. Sport wise, I have ended up as a hooker at my local rugby team (for the seconds/thirds). Work/life wise I work to live, not the other way round, as such work shouldnt intrude on my gaming time, as I work a 8-4, 5 days a week no overtime and weekends off (no pay no work ). Live on my own (very shortly to be in a house and not a flat) so will not be affecting other people with my gaming. 11. Activity Level? (hrs/week): Unlike WoW & Guildwars where i averaged 40-60 hours per week I will be keeping to a more realistic level of probably 16-20 hours midweek, and 10-15 hours on the weekend, so overall approximately 25-40 hours per week depending on work & rugby. 12. Applied to usergroup? Yes As an additional, early doors within the game I will probably end up playing off of a mobile internet connection due to moving house so may be a bit behind in the levelling up stakes and am aware this may initially count against me, however I am looking at the bigger picture and longer term rather than the short term. If you require me to level and learn a specific class and be at a certain level when I do get a proper connection speed then I would have no issue with that, and short term I would then not fully require guild affiliation (as I see from the comments that guild sizing is restricted by guild level). Thank you for reading the application. Peace Out. Frosty
