I posted this in the up and coming section X_X like an hour before you lol, ism happy yet sad people are sharing my emotions. its probably gonna be some bullshit adventure RPG now.
But you can balance a Space Marine against a large mob of guardsmen, all under the control of a single character. Just like other MMOs balance minion masters. I wounder if they have enough time before release to properly convert to a single player RPG, or if this change has screwed any chance of it being decent.
Yea I imagine a guardsman squad could've been you playing as the commisar or what not and "spawn guards". Fuck my life. This was the ONLY mmo I ever wanted to really play. I guess I'll be sitting out of the genre from now on. Back to FPS games.
As if a single space marine wouldn't rip through an entire squad of guardsmen. All they have to do is get in melee and it's game over
I guess if you are a board game player then its pretty extreme for you to think of it that way but if you are a book reader then it happens every so often. Besides all it takes is a rocket to the face and Emperor's Chosen or not you are a blood smear. On top of that why would the Guardsmen be fighting a Space Marine?
To quote Sokar "Fuck my life. This was the ONLY mmo I ever wanted to really play. I guess I'll be sitting out of the genre from now on. Back to FPS games." Now if PS2 ends up failing I think I will be done with online gaming all together.
I'm a both, and a I can personally vouch for a space marine wiping out an entire squad of guardsmen without taking a scratch. They have about a snowball's chance in hell of even hitting, and then their strength is such that you need a 6 to wound, and then space marine saving throws. And they could be 'heretic' guardsmen, heretic guardsmen, guardsmen who were on the wrong planet at the wrong time, or hell just sitting there smoking a cig. My point being space marines don't really need an excuse to slaughter guardsmen.
A squad, probably. A platoon, that's a different story. Sooner or later, one of the guardsmen will get a lucky hit. Or just call in an artillery strike to kill the Space Marine, thus saving the lives of the half of the guardmen that weren't caught in the strike.
