The original G15 has 18 'G' keys. The new one is a fraud.

they actually still sell the G15 with 18 macro keys in some places but its called the G15 v1, the one with less macro keys is the G15 v2. The v1 sells for alot more though :( and I think the glow color is blue instead of oranage/red.

Ive seen it in a couple of places for $150, its really expensive, far too expensive for a keyboard.

I got a "G15 v1" two or three years ago and I paid $80 CDN for it at the time.

The new one has only 6 G keys, though it also has 3 pages of them (m1-3) so you have 1-6 on m1, 1-6 on m2...and so on, (Top left 3 smaller buttons in the corner ) so essentially you have 18, but the 2 other sets of 6 require an extra button push. Likewise the older (blue light) G15 has 3 pages of 18. Plus only the G15 has the LCD readout, which there are quite a few apps for (Vent, Xfire, etc), but of course some are more useful than others.

...I have the old blue light V1, $35 new a year or so ago :).
......Im too cheap to pay full price ;)

    The original has the M1-M3 as well, so you've got 18 x 3 "G" keys =P

Also, the original has the vent/xfire readout too.

g11 has a nice blue backlight and im sorry, but the lcd was just a waste on the g15 (which i used for a few years) and made it hard to use the underlying keys for my desk where the keyboard slides under the monitor platform

no need to pay extra for an lcd imo

I'm sorry, but the original G15 and G11 were the best keyboards ever.. The original g15 had a possible combination of 54 macros to hotkey. Same with the G11. I miss my old G15. Backspace, =,-,0 all shat out on me so i had to stop using it. A sad day that was

I would still get a G11 at the moment over the G15v2 since I can give up the LCD for the macro keys, well unless I could find a cheaper G15v1. yeah the G5 and G15 are still the top of the gaming spectrum, and due to that it seems that keeps the prices higher..

I use the G15 v1, it's awesome. Been using it for years now. Do you guys really use that many macro keys though? I really like the LCD screen, it's invaluable in a crowded vent or in a vent with new people.

I love the LCD, I use it for vent/ts without having to worry about overlays etc. depending on the game it also has some cool info on it at times...
