Armory Link: http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Kil'jaeden&cn=Tunasaladin&gn=DINC 1. Discuss your spec(s); did you pick up something outside of normal theorycrafting or have a dual talent spec? My holy spec is your basic holy paladin spec, I may change it to include 40 yard auras if wisdom isn't beneficial enough. As for my ret spec, I haven't used it in quite a while and will probably be changing it frequently. 2. Do you have offspec sets to complement dual spec assignments or even just a trinket change for certain encounters? What stats do you have different for these sets. My offset gear is quite limited, but I do have a few trinket options when it comes to holy, as well as the PvP trinket of course. I will be working on my offset gear in heroics/pugs, I just haven't had the time as of late (will explain further down). 3. Professions: Do you have raid enhancing professions or gathering ones? What does your profession provide you for raid utility? (Max professions are an important boost to raiding) I have alchemy and enchanting, considering dropping alch for a gathering profession but haven't completely decided yet. Enchanting stays for the ring buffs. 4. How long have you played WoW? List your raiding accomplishments and time played. Raid Experience on "old Mains" included. Full MC/BWL/AQ 40 up to C'thun (we never attempted him) and 3 wings of Naxx 40. When TBC came out I chose to roll a paladin and did all the TBC content pre-nerf (except Grull, had him from 2-5% then he got nerfed). Made it up to pre-nerf M'uru and wiping over 30 hours a week combined with losing core members and bringing in people that would make the same mistakes over and over eventually collapsed our guild, and I haven't raided seriously since. Have done Naxx 10 and 25 in pugs. 5. How much do you PvP? Is it a priority of your time playing? I do PvP quite a lot, got Gladiator in S2 when holy paladins were pretty gimped, however I realize that raiding would obviously come before PvP in a raiding guild. It doesn't get in the way. 6. How old are you? Maturity and dedication are of utmost importance. 18 is required with limited exceptions. I am 27. 7. Where do you live (state/country) and what is the living arrangement (wife, children, dorm, etc)? I live on my own in Edmonton, Canada. 8. Current occupation (outside of WoW)? What kind of hours do you put in? Work from home generally, sometimes make house calls but these are all during the afternoon before raid times. 9. What guild and/or server are you coming from and why? What do you expect Xen of Onslaught to provide better? (Make sure to include your old guild or we could confuse it with a guild you have joined). I am coming from Kil'jaeden. I was in Asia for 6 months and let my ex-roommate indulge his ret fantasies on my character while I was gone so he transferred him there for an unknown reason. The bulk of my playing time was on Illidan in Purple Penguins, which broke up and became Financial Panther...which just broke up a week after I got back. Which brings me here. 10. How did you hear about Xen? List any personal references within the guild and expect them to asked about your raiding ability or confirmation of for friend rank. I saw it on the guild recruitment forums, and Sargeras seems like a decent server. As of late I don't really recognize many people on Illidan, and the ones I do hardly ever play anymore so it was time for a change. 11. <Xen of Onslaught> strives to maintain a top end raid progression. What and how many consumables do you plan to have in preparation for each raid? Specific amounts and types preferred. I haven't researched the best consumables for paladins yet, rest assured that I will do my own research as long as talk with some other well progressed paladins in Team Ice to make sure I am using the right things. I usually have at least 20-40 of the elixirs I use, plus anywhere from 3-5 flasks. 12. Our raid schedule can include Monday-Thursday from 7:00-11:00 PM CST (Sargeras Server time) with the occasional Sunday raid for progression (and sometimes skipping Tuesdays for farmed content or patch days). What would be your most likely scheduling conflict if any? An occasional Sunday raid is fine for me, sometimes I may be doing family things but as for the other days I don't really see a problem. Can always post in the future if that changes but there is nothing in the foreseeable future that would make this change. 13. Please list any thoughts or concerns you have on the Raid Policy as upon completing this application you will be assumed to understand and agree with them unless stated here. We are always open to considering new ways of doing things. I have no problems with the Raid Policy, it seems straight forward. 14. All classes and specs should submit a wws or screenshot of a damage meter (a 2nd shot of your personal breakdown of attacks is also helpful as it shows your rotation) for dps, tps, and hps. We keep wws reports for 1 month and will use them as a last resort to determine how to help people improve. If one is not available, explain why. I have not raided in almost 6 months, I was backpacking South East Asia. This will explain some of my questionable gear choices/gems which I am beginning to work on today. 15. Provide a picture of your UI, preferably in Raid combat(at least in a 10-man) and a list addons that you use, so we know you can see those big colored rings of death appearing below your feet. Can supply this later today, first I need to find a raid. I use X-Perl for raid healing, DBM, OmniCC, ItemRack and Recount. My UI is very clutter free, and everything is keybound. 16. You are done unless you have any final comments to help out your application. Like I said previously, I have not raided in 6 months. I haven't seen Ulduar and I am not 100% familiar with the best enchants/gear etc. that are in the game at this moment. That being said, for years I HAVE raided, and strived to get the best out of whatever gear I have. I have also raided as all 3 specs as my guild saw fit, most of the prot raiding was done in Hyjal and BT. It won't take me long to get back into the swing of things, and this guild seems like it would be a good fit for me. I look forward to hearing from you.
well, the application looks solid but the armory is acting up, so i can't see the spec or stats etc (aura mastery isn't a range extender since 3.1 btw). im sure you can catch up on the changes quickly though. we do have a solid need for a holy paladin, but im not sure how well you would suit us until armory is linking to you again. i even search you, see you in the search results, and then it can't find you. ill try again later, but its kind of an odd issue when it finds in the search.
Yeah was doing a bit of PvP today, some of the changes are pretty nice. Looking forward to trying them in PvE, pretty sure the reason Armory is messing up is because I have already transferred. Don't worry I'm not being presumptuous but either way I was sick of my old BG, heh. Still kept the name Tunasaladin, so that's what it should start coming up as.
welcome to XoO. make sure to join the Sargeras division and read up more on the rules, loot rules etc. there.
