    My review:

    Terrible: 2/10

Go see Punisher: War Zone instead.

I could tell what the plot was just from the trailers, thank you trailer makers. I can't remember how many movies have been "ruined" because the trailer makers reveal to much. The worst example would have been the Two Towers but, I had read the books and knew Gandalf would return. Way to remove the suspense from that scene.

Anyway the original plot made more sense. Aliens see that we are slowly make our way to become a space faring race but, also notice our violent tendency toward each. So they send a guy to check us out and he determines that we have some good so there was no need to wipe us out. He tells us that they won't interfere with us but, if we bring our violent ways into space they are going to put us down.

    The new version looks like
aliens see what we are doing to the environment and don't like it. So they sent a representative to try to explain this and if it didn't go well they would wipe us out. Why would the aliens give a damn about what the "primitive" natives are doing to their planet? Where were they when the dinosaurs got wiped out?
Would somebody please think of the dinosaurs!?

Yea there are plot holes. Lots of them.

    - Why does he kills someone then brings him back when in theory he would be killed by the thing destroying human life. Pointless and doesn't make sense.

    - The 'bugs' destroying seem to kill some stuff but leave others. They take out a road sign but leave power lines alone.

    - I wanted the little kid to die. Multiple times.

    - Generic "We'll do better." to make them stop.

    - The military would think their missile strike worked.

So really my favorite part of the movie was the X-Men Origins: Wolverine trailer. Save yourself some money and just watch it here: http://www.comingsoon.net/news/movienews.php?id=51310

    The original is much better.

Comparing it to An Inconvenient Truth isn't really fair. An Inconvenient Truth had that pimp cherry picker.

i dunno about the movie, but personally i think this was the dream-job for keanu

i mean, think about it, a emotionally mute, inhuman alien in a human-suit

casting keanu for the role was pure genius! a perfect fit

Yeah I liked it, it wasn't an amazing movie or the best of 2008 by a long shot but it was still watchable.

I like seeing movies like this one because I enjoy watching the world burn.(SPOILERS )

Sadly, we were saved at the end which was stupid. Don't waste your money save it for 2012. The only good things about watching this movie is you get to see the trailer for Wolverine Origins. Gambit I want to have you babies :D.

I enjoyed this movie. I don't know if it's just me but I don't expect a whole lot when I go see a movie. It's an escape from reality I suppose and I watch them to be entertained. Not pick apart every little fault. I didn't see anything glaringly wrong with this movie and I think a lot of people would enjoy it.

The comment about the dream role for keannu was too true. I said the exact same thing to my g/f when she said she hated him on most movies.
