The people I've been in contact with tell me this game had the worst launch they've ever seen. Also something about killing their own raft with a spear and running into level 100+ enemies in the starting area that caps you to level 8... I was kind of worried that it would siphon off the people I'm currently playing Planetside 2 with, but it seems my worries were unfounded, because it only got one and even then, he does nothing but complain about Atlas.
It is playable now. It only took them a few days to work out the major server issues. They are still patching server times a day and it gets better with each. I rarely get disconnected now even on long sessions.
