The patch notes of a15 are in the post in this thread aswell as in the other thread. I personally wouldn't mind having a clean start on the server but I could understand that it could frustrate people, especially when you've just gotten started.
thats 2/5 who dont mind a full reset when a15 hits then, Lailana is still a bit opposed on it since she likes the setup we got going atm
ive run a few servers on the experimental build and love the changes. as long as by when they are done and it realy is backwards compatible the patch fixes shouldnt force multiple wipes im good for reset. map gen is much better BTW. and the seed preview generator is really cool feature
the map itself is backwards compatible. the things that arent backwards compatible are the new features like the added poi's and traders they have installed. Besides, some of the items that are talked about in the patch, are already featured in the valmod expansion we have installed on the server.
well Yasaffie and i are on central european time (6 hours ahead of east coast time) so we probable play from around 1 or 2 pm your time
im a late nighter usually 10pm EST till sometime after. almost all of the experimental build have not been compatible to play on maps created from previous experimental builds that why. but the mod doesnt cover new zombies or z-spawns or new textures like updated roads also with the limited time i spent RWG is very much optimized biome generation is pleasant and clean. granted im not a dozen people spending a week exploring rwg but the couple hours i spent in recent builds was much better.
Update: Server is currently down after I attempted to update the server to Alpha 15. Forums are flooding with complaints that apparently EAC is messing with the game files itself, I can not fix it at this moment. We either wait for Fun Pimps to fix this or we roll back to a previous patch and entertain ourselves for a little while. Edit 1: Server is back up and running as an XML file on the server did not update automatically. However, the server is not running on the valmod pack as it was like before since the mod itself has not been updated yet. Once it has been updated I will notify everyone here on the forum or on Teamspeak. Please note that whenever the valmod pack has been updated, you will have to re apply it to your own 7dtd directory since the patch removed the previous install of it. Edit 2: The zcoin shop, Zgate list and creation is currently not working. CBSM is not connecting well to the server. renewed subscription on it. Standby on how that's going to work out in the near future. Edit 3: The server is currently up and running with the Zcoin abilities in place. There were some issies on the CBSM side of service and it's still unstable at best. (some items will not load in after you've purchased them). I have not extensively tested the teleportation commands yet but they were working the one time I have tested. I however fell through the face of the earth. Currently the server is still on vanilla, the mod is not yet updated so more information is coming up.
Content update on the server: Valmod has been released and reworked for alpha 15. Later today I will add the content to the server, you should do the same to your games directory. Will post here when I have added the features.
Sad to inform that Lailana and myself have decided to close down 7 days to die hosting due to the following reasons: 1. The game is dying out and there is a lack of renewal in the game. 2. Our host is being an asshole. 3. CBSM is completely on it's butt and it was a cornerstone of our pve style of playing. Completely taking the carebear out of it. On the upside, we are planning on hosting a new steam game server. Check out this link. Servers of it are not yet available but so far it looks fun and promising. I will make a new post about it in the near future when hosting is available. Edit 1: The server will be up until the subscription of the host ends on 30-10-2016. Or 10/30/16 for the 'muricans here. confusing people you guys.
