Hello XoO! We will be having our monthly community meeting on Saturday, Feb 20th. We have many new introductions to make as far as new staff is concerned. We will also be discussing some of the exciting upcoming games that we are interested in. (Black Desert, The Division, and other outreach games that will be releasing in the future. We will also be hearing from our current supported divisions (FFXIV and WoW) about the state of their members and recent in-game achievements. As well as a division reacap from our current new game (Blade and Soul.) Samjizz has some exciting new things that he has been working on for our website that he will discuss with us. We will also be launching the 2015 XoO Awards! (I know its late but better late then never!) To wrap up we will open the meeting to the community to bring up comments/questions/concerns and their hopes for the new year of Xen.
Well if you have a more constructive comment (such as a time that would work better for our European members) it would be great! =D
well CET is 6 hours ahead of east coast time. So maybe 3 pm or 4 pm might be a better compromise to give all of your members a chance to participate
I will discuss this with darktide and see if we can re-arrange to make that happen. Thanks lailana! ^_^ If not for this meeting it will def be the standard for meetings to come if at all possible
Xoo has been doing a great job at scaring off a lot of European players. Usually the best of the bunch, even going through the trouble of playing on US servers and adjusting accordingly. In my opinion it goes without saying that excluding members is not a goal of xoo. But thats just my 2 cents. I'm sorry for not being constructive in my argument, just feeling pushed in a corner as a European player since the first day I entered xoo. But thats just my personal experience.
I can assure you that none of what you are explaining is intentional and we have never made any decision to exclude European members. I have played with a very large amount of European members in several games. We attempted to have separate US/EUR divisions in supported games but it ended in the EUR division disbanding and merging with the US division. If you do have any complaints or constructive criticism to bring that might help us better accommodate all of our members then i urge you to bring that up in our community meeting.
It is simple pragmatics; the bulk of our member base is EST. We have players from all around the world and I personally enjoy the variety. When we have enough EU players we DO start EU divisions such as with TERA and Aion. However, when we do not we like to have everyone playing together as one cohesive unit. That also sadly means that we have to do the common sense thing of rolling on US servers because the majority of our players are US-based. It has hurt ping in previous games for many of our EU members but they still join in on the carnage because they truly appreciate the greatness experienced while playing with fellow friends on a competitive front. I do miss a lot of our EU brethren and we have lost many NA brethren as well. Hopefully upon my return to gaming I can play with my fellow XoO compatriots and wreck the faces of our enemies.
Sorry it was a slight oversight on my part, and I apologize completely. As you may know from AA and so on, I pretty much play with the Euro time zone more than I do the NA time zone. Cause of the weird hours I held for so long. We have changed it to 3pm, so that should be 9pm CET. Thanks for that break down on the time difference I have always messed it up. The two messages was what I expect members with feedback to give. Constructive and solutions based to allow people to see errors and correct them. Thank you. Also to note for everyone, that may miss it. I'll be typing up the state of XOO during the meeting and right after to send out to everyone what is going on that wasn't able to attend. See you on the battlefield, DT
